With last season's Arkle form starting to work out well I'd have to side with Global Citizen in the Haldon Gold Cup.
It looks a really interesting renewal, and with Greaneteen as the short price favourite you could argue that plenty of these are bigger prices than they should be. I am looking for a match bet of Bun Doran against Vision Des Flos, I think the former will go very well for a long way, and the latter is a horse that I just think has been a massive disappointment and needs a massive improvement to see him be good enough for this race.
Nicholls has won the Haldon Cup with some decent horses in the past and he has another one here in Greaneteen who I think wins this today. The obvious choice I know as he is favourite but he would be my pick in the field although not betting in it myself. Nicholls could have a treble or four timer today down at Exeter. Looks to have some strong entries across the card.
