mmm you neglected to discuss the u-turn of Johnathan 'ooooh' Ashworth? Lockdown this week , no lockdown last week, 30 minutes later, lockdown? Labour are just playing politics. They even proved it today with Some saying schools should go back while Andy Burnham wants all school kids to stay at home? That even confused the reporter? Don't come on here preaching about your anti-semite party because they have no credibility. Even with all the government cock ups people still don't trust them. Even today Ashworth was moaning about the economy and people losing their jobs while only two weeks ago he wanted a mini 'circuit break'... did he worry about jobs then? Sorry, that was the circuit break on the Tuesday unlike his views on the Monday... come to think about it he flipped 30 mins later!
The mini lockdown was pointless as it would have only come back to haunt us again at a later date... maybe you believe in multiple lockdowns? The right plan at the time was regional areas (it bit like what wee willy Kranky is doing). Remember, some on here were saying how she has got things right? <doh> oops some may need to distance themselves?
However there will be no point trying to explain to an activist, because whatever they do will be wrong in your eyes.

I hope there were no high profile Tories ruling out the possibility of a national lockdown up to the day before it was announced or you’d look a right melon.

A four-week lockdown with kids still mixing in schools compared to “playing politics” with a two week lockdown with schools closed. ****ing genius.

eer closed for a week I think you will find (unless some schools had 2 weeks). Parents are welcoming kids going school as they can work and children are learning. What planet are you on? Do you not listen to what the parents have been saying?
As for the Tories rebelling, that's my point. Did you not digest the post? There are aways 2 sides to this argument. Jonathan Ashworth proved that in 30 mins.
I don't believe that mini 2 week lockdown would have changed much in the long run. Agree it would have slowed the infection rate down a bit but 2 weeks is not long enough to have a decent effect. Those comments came from some professor who some where referring to not long ago. :emoticon-0127-lipss
It will be the economy next that Labour moan about forgetting that their 2 week total lockdown wouldn't have caused problems.

It would help if you started writing in coherent sentences again. Preferably not in blue.

Locking down without schools being part of it is trying to shovel water out the boat with a hole in the bucket. I get why they’re doing it but given where the infection levels have been allowed to get to before taking action, it needs something more likely to actually work IMO. Teachers thrown to the wolves again.

You know I have 3-4 things going on a once. None of my sentence structure is coherent unless I concentrate on it... that ain't gonna happen. Agree this lockdown will have different results but they (government) believe that keeping children at home will be detrimental to their eduction. Did you actually read the reports of child welfare in the last lockdown? Too many problems with abuse/education/anxiety/metal health issues. The kids need to be at school. Teachers agree with that.

Nice try to stir up trouble. I and others know you are trying to get me banned but your games won't work. I stick by the rules. Go away and bore someone else.

If I was trying to get you banned I would PM'd Beth or at least tagged her, I did neither, I don't want anyone banned. You, well we, were both asked to wind our necks in. You chose to totally ignore that, why?

I've not seen anyone else trying to get you banned either, getting quite the Tommeh complex there, act like a twat and then everyone is picking on you.

    Nice try

I don't know why you need to mention 'Tommy' I have nothing in common with his vile actions or beliefs. Secondly I am not doing anything wrong only colour coding posts. Finally the 'Banned' comments obviously went over your head... I was just referring/mocking to something that was said a while back. Move on

You know what you are doing you silly billy, you are clearly colour coding me as blue for a Chelsea thing hence the blue is the colour comment. I mentioned Tommeh as he is in the news right now acting silly and saying people are out to get him, bit like you did in one of your previous comments. I will however clarify I'm not suggesting you share Robinson's views

He used to be funny but started getting too political (normally in one camp). The one thing he is right about is that polls were wrong last time. I still think sleepy Joe Biden will win though.

Trump, Johnson, have shown they are the last people you want at the wheel in a pandemic, but there is no room for complacency.

Tackling nationalist populism means showing the strength of EU unity, but also being honest about the need for real reform!

Unless it's a run away win, we won't know the winner for some time I think, because both sides have got phalanxes of lawyers waiting to contest the result. It could all end up in court.

Maybe Trump's latest appointment to the Supreme Court, Amy Coney Barrett will help adjudicate!
