I'm not interested in what Corbyn would've done, or Teresa May, or what Starmer might've done. That's all irrelevant and just playing politics. What I'm interested in is what the nations government and PM are actually doing. As you say they've made a really poor job of handling this crisis. Of course mistakes will be made but, as with the Cummings scandal, its the total refusal to accept any responsibility that's so disappointing. As an island we should've had one of the best records ... ... instead we've one of the worst.
This has been one of the biggest mistakes imo. I cringed when the PM was clenching his fists and asking people to all fight the virus together. You can't go out and fight the virus, you have to keep away from it. No one ever really believed young boozers were capable of distancing, it goes against every instinct. This next lockdown will see many more people ignoring the restrictions because its all just such a mess.
It's awful. This clown has blood on his hands. He is as far away from a 'leader' as we have, in a time of our greatest crisis (in my life time). He stabbed Theresa May in the back to get the top job, proved he is inept, and this is payback for the twat.
how many of them living with grandparent who will die through their stupid actions and don't give a **** attitude to anyone.
hows that mate the only people with blood on their hands are the revelers, ravers, race meeting goers, music gigs, protest marches all with no masks, who go back home after catching it and spread it how is it Boris fault
Aye, not wanting to get political but he waited in the wings for the top job and now it's bitten him on the arse.
There was a general feeling that everyone was pulling together and there was a great deal of 'Dunkirk spirit' in the situation. It seemed to start disintegrating when Cummings, and others, were seen to be ignoring the restrictions. That's just the kind of excuse some people need. But I agree many younger people have seemed to believe themselves above the virus.
Delayed it for too long. Advisors wanted it earlier, public could see it coming bit he protected his business mates
i understand where you're coming from mate, but there is always 2 sides to a story i like you a lot thats why i will but out of this topic now, and like i said if dh4 was man enough to do his own thread to keep slagging boris off he would reap what he sows as up to now i have kept quiet unless it happens on one of my threads, i think 60% of the lads on here are staunch labour supporters, but they suffered the worst defeat in 60 years with the type of thinking that he has and if they dont change they will not win again
but hardly a word is mentioned of that scottish woman MP who knew she had covid yet travelled by train from Scotland to parliament and back again yet never wore a mask SNP MP Margaret Ferrier suspended for taking train after positive Covid test This article is more than 1 month old Ferrier travelled from London to Scotland knowing she had coronavirus Coronavirus – latest updates See all our coronavirus coverage Matthew Weaver and Libby Brooks Margaret Ferrier addresses parliament on Covid after developing symptoms – video
Totally agree, the whataboutery, about what others might of might not have done, is irrelevant to me. One party in power, it’s on them and the Cummings situation and the support of him and then the change of policies to excuse and fit with what he did, blew things.
Yes.. Sturgeon withdrew the backing of the party whip and publically slammed her and asked her to resign. I believe she has so far refused to do this.
She had the whip removed, effectively she was suspended, Sturgeon, like or dislike her, did what she could, within her powers. You can’t sack an MP, and this MP refused to resign.
