I am amazed how poor Bruno Fernandez is this season. Is he playing in a different position to last season, or is it because they are trying to play him and Pogba in the same team. I also noticed that whenever Rashford was fouled he lay down holding his head, even if he was tackled below the knee. What was that all about.
Trying to get a Penalty and trying to get opposition players booked. Noticed that after Gabriel got a Yellow, everytime he made a challenge on Rashford, Rashford would spend the next minute or so on the floor in 'agony'
How quickly is Ole morphing into David Moyes? Just been whinging about penalties too: has Zaha shagged his daughter?
Well, with lots of expensive individuals, occasionally they will get it right...but for me, they look disjointed too often (again). This has to come from the coaching and management.
The thing is, you look at Arsenal. Yes they might not always win, they might look a bit toothless at times, but you watch them and can see what Arteta is trying to do. He wants them to press hes, sets traps, lets the defence have the ball then spring on that first pass to win it and break. He’s been in charge 40 games and has completely changed the style of play to something you recognise. You look at united and Ole has had 100 games in charge. Now they have some quality, even if you don’t like them, you can’t argue rashford, pogba, Greenwood, martial, Fernandes can have moments of quality and win a game with some magic. And that’s why they will win games at time because when 2/3 of them play well they’ll go through some teams. But would you say United have a recognised style? Ole doesn’t even know how he wants them to play let alone who... 5 at the baxk one week. 4 the next, then a diamond, then a 433... they don’t dominate possession, they don’t sit back and hit teams in the counter. It’s almost like just sends them out and says go play football and see what works. You can buy 2 or 3 more quality players but until you get a style of play that you can mould those players into you’re never gonna win consistently. As a Liverpool fan all I can say is long may it continue..
How was that a pen to spurs? Kane is looking at Lallana whole he challenges for the ball, Kane has no interest in it. Backs into him, arches his back and forces lallana to go over the top. Another one where one day that’s gonna cause a serious injury to a player when they land on their neck... but somehow that’s a pen
So what your saying is. Arsenal maybe a team with some average players but play as a team ManU may have some good players but play as individuals and only get results when said individuals have a good day.
Let’s hope MOTD2 give it the full Salah But we all know they won’t I am not claiming Salah doesn’t dive We all know he does - however there have been many a foul on him where he hasn’t gone down and has received nada We also know that all the pens utd had last season and some of them with way less contact than yesterday- many people have said that they had no probs with the pen just with the dive even though it was a foul Yet none of them received the critical debate Mo’s did yesterday Strange isn’t it
Kane did the same thing mid week and the player went right over the top of him, he has just done it again in the 4th min of injury time and got away with it. years ago when the game was for hard men that was a straight red and if the ref didn't respond some player would cut the **** in half later in the game. Shocking behaviour and a terrible danger to a players neck/life which is why it was so frowned upon.
Yes it was which is why you can't remember anyone doing it until the 90s. It was known as "making a back" and was seen as a possible career ender.
