I couldn’t agree more. ****s like Preston think they are the news. The reporting or lack of it has been disgraceful during this pandemic.
I know a lot of Swedes, Danes . Dutch......the '****'em, let's go out on the piss and get leathered' mentality is pretty much unheard of there. That;s the difference.
Feel like throwing summat at the telly after watching this mornings "news programs" So called journalists bullying, hounding, repetitively asking is the month long lock down a fixed end, finite, guaranteed fixed date end. Politicians failing to answer the most simple question which anyone with a bit of common sense can see. Of course it's not, we would all like it to be, but TWT as to what happens in a month from now. Alternatively go ask Mystic Meg.
The aim has never been to reduce deaths to zero, those in charge don’t really care if you die TBH. The sole aim is to stop the NHS being overwhelmed because at that point society ceases to function properly.
thats not true, I’m out in northern Sweden right now for work. The bars are full, totally heaving. the Nordic types have a stronger binge drinking instinct than us northerners!!! The difference out here is the media, they aren’t constantly telling us that we are doomed & scaremongering, they are reporting with balance
Also the Dutch are complete nutters for drinking, when their teams have been in Manchester, they’ve been drinking right through the day, from pubs opening to clubs closing.
You don't see them staggering about like you do ours though. Same with Belgians and Germans though they drink copious amounts of strong beers.
Remember remember the 5th of November... https://www.gov.uk/guidance/new-national-restrictions-from-5-november
News now talking about the restrictions on those leaving the country, interviewing some who have had to cancel holidays. Who cares it's those entering that need restricting and controlling, seems a long time since the scenes of arrivals being met by people in hazmat suits*, loaded onto buses and taken to a secure hotel for two weeks. * Except the bus driver, he was wearing his protective woollen tank top that his mother knitted.
i disagree, there next to no difference in the drinking habits of Germans, Dutch, Nordics & us. spanish & French consume less beer, but more wine
