What a brilliant win by Tao Geoghegan Hart, to only claim the pink jersey on the last stage and wear it for the first time in the race is the way to do it. After Thomas crashed out to step up to be team leader from domestique is quite outstanding.
It turned out to be a great day for the Brit's Hugh Carthy had a brilliant ride to move up to 2nd in GC in the Vuelta. A gruelling day up a mountain in the rain and cold really took its toll, Roglic lost time and is now down to 4th with Carapaz for Ineos in Red. Great day for the former Sky team.
Jees..... the last 6k of the race today, 16, 17, 18 and finally 23.5 degree incline finish to the Vuelta today... just unbelievable....
WoooooooooW, what a ride from Hugh Carthy, that climb was torturous, but he rode it to perfection. He deserves to be on the podium just in recognition of that win. I can't imagine what it must be like trying to ride up that. This has been a really enjoyable tour to watch, every day there has been something different. Credit to ITV who put on a good show.
