That was a painful watch, though I believe it's all my fault. I couldn't get the game until about 25 minutes in, and the picture finally came and within seconds they scored. After that, they were much the better team, and we just didn't turn up all over the field, except for KLP, who scored an excellent goal, (Missed it is real-time but saw the replay at HT). The subs did nothing to improve things, and we just didn't seem to have a clue how to deal with them. They pressed well and hurried us into numerous mistakes, we just couldn't get a grip of the game. Let's hope that all the travelling this week, and 3 tough games in the week are to blame, and next week we can recuperate and get one back on Fleetwood.
****?? I’m guessing you completely missed that he was getting linked with Man City? We are very lucky to still have him here.
Got hit head on by a car on Friday whilst on my bike. Surgery yesterday long road for recovery. Thanks for asking
Sorry to hear that, hope the recovery is quick and complete. Just remember those who liked the quoted post.
Is anything broken / torn? How's the bike? (cyclist question ) Has the driver been charged etc? As you say puts life in perspective Hopefully if it's your lads (?) Sunday league team playing today they can put on a performance before lockdown Recover well
So, that’s McCann gone from hero to zero in less than a week, from MOM mid week for his game changing ability, to this crap fodder. For first 20 mins Swindon soaked up what we had to offer, then like others have done, sussed out how to stop our play, closed us down, gave us no time on the ball, rampant down the wings. We had no answer but to resort to panic play. Swindon appeared to go from looking like a Sunday league side first 20 mins to world beaters! We have no consistency. Eaves and Magennis, neither able to nail down the starting role. Defence shambolic, worrying given McCann and sidekick background, Elder looks like a shadow of his former self, and Jordy seems to be suffering from the “in, out, shake it all about” rotation. Last but not least, best wishes GLP for your speedy recovery.
Bikes are bloody dangerous things, with or without an engine on it. Not in and of themselves but because of other road users. If I’m being totally honest there’s been a time or two I’ve nearly had off a cyclist or motorcyclist myself when I just have not seen them. I would never use either on a public road. Hope it’s not too bad GLP.
Some good points but as a few have done blame the attacker and the defence. Where is the midfield? they dominated us in there as the other defeats did. honeyman ran around as usual but had little impact and was well marshalled by Grant I think it was. Their second came right down the middle with Smallwood nowhere. Docherty does lots of hard work closing down too but we never got on the ball at all in midfield.
