Doesn’t play the same style of football and is a bit of a chequebook manager. Would prefer Corberan for continuity.
Yes he is but can’t recall Spuds ever playing in the same way as Leeds do so not a good fit with our current squad imo. And anyway Corberan’s Hudds just tonked the wallies 3-0 at their patch so if he succeeded Bielsa he may not be affected by our London curse
Ffs we better play soon or with the way results are going well be bottom of table by Monday night. Dropping like a stone
Pochetino is on Sky Sports for Monday night football, just to shut the mouth of anyone who slags off his mentor Bielsa. Hope Jamie Carragher shows some respect or he may bet laid out by Poch
36yo is no life. RIP Marius Marius Zaliukas: Former Hearts, Rangers and Leeds United defender dies aged 36
Seems that Corberan has picked up a fan club due to the style played and the odd strange substitution
Brendan Rodgers on Marcelo Bielsa “He’s been brilliant,” Rodgers told Sky Sports. “I have been following him for a long time. I first started coaching back in the 90s’ and this was when I was looking into coaching, and not just in our country, but around the world. “He was, at that point, in Argentina. So, I followed him really from that point. From Argentina into Chile. Then he goes into club football at Athletic Bilbao where a lot of people would have seen him in terms of the way he plays. “He’s a wonderful pioneer of a game. He plays a unique style. It’s very man-to-man marking. They try to run the legs off you and you have to run like hell in the game to keep up with them. Lots of rotation and lots of mobility in the team. They want to create and score goals. “But, at the same time, they offer up space which hopefully you can exploit. He has been great. He has taken a great club out of the Championship into the Premier League and they have made a terrific start.”
And there I was thinking Rodgers was a complete dickhead, now I'm convinced he is a patronising dickhead, well at least until Tuesday afternoon. Leeds to win 2-1
Couple of matches on today that I wouldn't have minded watching but they'd cost an extra £30 on top of the £116 pm I'm already paying so **** that, greedy bastards. Don't suppose there's any chance of all matches becoming free to view during the 2nd lockdown
Here's an idea... Let's play some international friendlies whilst the World and certainly the majority of Europe locks down it's citizens. Personally I'd call off all matches involving international travel.
I noted with interest some comments made by Bielsa, where he says football isnt the same without fans. It got me thinking because I know many on here are regulars home and away and in some respects its criminal not being allowed to go and cheer on the lads especially after promotion and the adulation the players are not getting. Do you think our team is benefitting from not having fans as pressure taken off? Bamford has scored double figures since restart behind closed doors? 6 in 6 in the Prem is wow. Meslier is brilliant and not worrying about mistakes? Our new defence is coping well but has no pressure on it. would we be better with fans in, do our fans really act as the 12th man by scaring the opposition or at least intimidating them?
