I don't remember the man of the match being announced for the game today but I definitely think it should have gone to Benny. He's up there with the best left backs in the league and today was probably the best performance I've seen from him. Kaboul and Walker played very well too, as did Sandro and Parker... and Bale... ah hell everyone was brilliant
I'd have said Sagna for them. He almost managed to keep Bale quiet, even though our Welsh Rocket was in fine form us today. There's no way Snoozny she have been caught out for the goal, even if he did do extremely well to keep out Adebayor.
Tricky. I'd have to agree with Ensil about Szczesny for them and probably overall too, as he kept them in it, at times. Maybe King for us, as we kept them out pretty well for virtually the whole game, despite losing the midfield for the first half?
Moddy still seemed to be at the heart of everything for us, but it has to be said that we looked awesome on the counter-attack, with our entire team getting forward at lightening speed. It was reminiscent of the legendary AFC "Invicibles" team, at times today. Even Ledley broke into their penalty area, towards the end. Magic stuff!
Well done to you lads today! Played really well and have some class players! Looking forward to our game in 2 weeks time
I would have to say Kaboul, the man is awesome in the air and has an incredible tackles won ratio, seems to be getting better all the time, especially playing alongside King.If he carries on like this we will have the readymade replacement for HRH KING.
Why on Earth isn't Defoe in the squad? Carroll has been awful all season, while Bent and Zamora have hardly impressed either. Walcott and Milner seem to make the squad simply because Capello thinks they're the only English players that can play on the right win.
I felt alot of players were on top form, though for me it's between Parker or Kaboul for man of the match. Parker was immense in the centre of the pitch, breaking up play and helping the team to push forward, gutted for him that he couldn't score in them opening minutes. Kaboul was (and is at the moment) unbeatable in the air. I can't remember the last time someone beat him to a header, he has an insane leap and his actual heading ability is so powerful. Also made some vital tackles.
Kaboul is shaping up to be the new "old" Sol Campbell, (in his pre-Judas period,) but Parker for me. He ran himself into the ground, breaking up their play and still managed to get forward at times.
Because there "has" to be a quota of Liverpool players in the squad, regardless of form/fitness/injury/being ****e. Admit it, you just thought of Glen Johnson, didn't you?
Parker for me, for the reasons above, he also takes a good hit with no fuss, I like that, total nosebleed in the 18yd box though! . May have been Sandro had he been on from the start, shut the door on them really and I hope he gets the assist for KW's goal...another Modric miskick hardly warrants that stat. There were a few candidates, but Walker got it for the goal, not sure where he was for theirs though!
Walker for me. Nobody was bothering us on the left. That may be because Gervinho is ****e, but I like to think that Walker is immense instead. Kaboul was amazing though. He'd be a close second.
