De wijs and elder look weak and were exploited again.

The left side needs sorting asap.

Truly wretched afternoon. Rediscovered the art of throwing a game away and against a team who threw themselves on the ground every time we breathed on them in the second half. But they defended well in the last 30 minutes and we defended badly all game,
I'm not convinced the subs helped us today at all as KLP who is our best forward by a mile seemed to get lost in it all.
I think I might need to find something else to do on a Saturday afternoon after the last 2 weeks.

Have the feeling our defence might keep us in this division.

Footballs ****ed again by the sound of things.

First 20 looked decent great goal from potter, terrible marking for their equalizer and caught out by quick free kick. From them on didn't make enough of decent positions. Overall poor and ran out of ideas in the end.

I called out our win vs Bristol in midweek as being from a poor performance against a poor side, and tbh, there wasn't any real difference today other than that we've played poorly and lost to what looks to be a poor side. What worries me more than our defence is our lack of a cutting edge going forwards. We really don't seem to be creating a great deal, our goal today came from a great run, but I can't really remember us crating any genuine chances. We seem to rely v heavily on getting it wide and getting balls into the box, which you'd imagine is what a l1 defender would prefer to defend against.

    Criticising Elder?

Poor performance all round today. Lacking punch up front and school boy defending at key moments. Disappointing and further proof that there are no gimmes in this league.

Last time we were at this level before the one season we spent in it on our climb up the leagues we got relegated and spent 8 seasons in the bottom tier. Not only did we not get an apology for that we didn't get any for the two relegations between 1978 and 1981. Shameful.

Very disappointing. I thought after KLP's goal we were going to romp it.

    Honest question.

Anyone out there not concerned at all?

Not concerned at the defending, the drop in performance in nearly all second halves, the clear weaknesses, the players quickly getting burned out?

In other words, the hallmarks of last season?

Soft goal from a set piece, poor passing, again. Eaves is just a terrible player, he can barely jump, barely pass. Either we don’t utilise him to the best of his ability, or he really is just ****.
Magennis is 1 second away from a red card every time he plays. I think Mayer or Wilks need to be in the middle if they’re going to stay with this system.

Lots mentioning defence and attack. What about midfield? Got bossed there yet again.

Honeyman's played well this season but he does too much sometimes. Smallwood's solid enough. Docherty hasn't really done much so far. Runs around a lot but hasn't created much at all. The link-up between the midfield and attack is too focused on playing it out wide and having full-backs overlap the wingers. I'd like to see use play the ball on the ground through the middle more.

Think the trick in this league is to rotate your midfielders and get some young legs on the pitch. We looked ponderous and created nothing. Too many games in a short period of time found us out.
Worried about de Wijs, seems to have lost it and Greaves worth an extended run. Elder in a poor run of form, give Fleming a few games to see if we can tighten up the left side. Losing not the end of the world but we should do better against a limited side like Swindon.

Everyone knows where the problem lies. A manager who is fixated on his system. An inflexible individual who will never change. These are the players we have, we can have a go at individuals all we like but it’s pointless. Until we get someone in who recognises during games what the problem in each game is, we will look like a second rate team in a fair few of them.

Eaves should be prosecuted for fraud. He is Obtaining a Pecuniary Advantage by purporting to be a Footballer.

Although before their ridiculous first goal we had the better chances, even then they were passing the ball better and every time they loaded either wing we were exposed with the narrow midfield three. Not just down Elder's wing. Wilkes was miles off it today both as a forward and in terms of helping his defence.
