    I dunno about that

It was very similar to Van Helsing and imo, Van Helsing was a far superior effort.

But its the movie that made me think "man, being invisible would ****ing suck."

It depends on what you call film

As Martin Scorsese said recently, the Avengers and all these super hero flicks, (Van Helsing included) are more like theme park rides than films

    I agree.

    I agree too.

I always laugh when they make a big deal about the director of the next Marvel movie. Like "oo its the guy who did that one film"

And then the movie follows the same 3 act structure of the previous 50 with identical story beats.

    Whats the point?

Agree ... the shelf would have given way with the first book ... and you don't get crushed to death by a single Janet & John <laugh>

RIP 007 ... not a fan of the films but he was the quintessential <rose>

Out of curiosity I looked up the box office for van Helsing (6.1/10) vs The Imitation game (8/10) (theme park vs an actual film)

The former is no comparison to the latter, yet we know which did 30% better at the box office dont we

The market for content for mouth breeding morons is bigger than the market for people who like to think now and then <laugh>

That moment when it sinks in you're getting washed by 4 hot grandma's underwear wearing Asian chicks, and getting paid well to do it.

    RIP <rose>

    His best Bond film?
    Dr No
    Goldfinger
    You Only Live Twice
    From Russia With Love
    Thunderball

I liked all those but my personal fave is Diamonds Are Forever. It was the first Bond film I ever saw when videos took off and thought he was the coolest bloke ever.

Used to be a body builder, think he won some titles. We can't really knock him, as at the time 007 was the dude, the coolest man on the planet.

I think Daniel Craig is ok for now, but needs freshening up.

Craig was 'ok' in 2 of those movies, the latest is a disaster and that other one with him and Judy Dench in a serious remake of home alone. (skyfall was it?) was one of the worst ever Bond movies.

imo anyways, to each his own
