He campaigns for the Tories. There are pictures of him. He proudly used his position and the platform of STID 2 to make a statement about Brexit. It’s a fact so no point in arguing that point. Whether that makes a difference to your perception of him is another matter. I personally think fee paying schools should be banned on the grounds of equality of opportunity and I don’t want an upper class Tory twit, who’s ego openly states northerners don’t understand business, when in fact there are many northerners (including fellow board members) successfully doing so more than him, running our club simply for a quick profit.
How detective I agree it has nowt to do with it but there was a picture of a Charlie with his little blue rosette on outside some Tory HQ. I will also pick you up on the latter, there are some very sound business minds in the North East, some better than him and he if thought that because of a few football fans then it is he who has the problem. There’s nothing like tarring everyone with the same brush, you know a bit like saying every posh boy is a Tory.
Still goes back to what I said. What do his political leanings have to do with him running our club? Answer - nothing at all. So why use it as an insult, which is what you and others are doing? You have a view on private education. That’s your view. I didn’t really get a choice on where I went to school. My parents thought that they were doing the right thing by sending me to a fee paying school. They had the luxury of being able to do that. I also sent my son to a private school. What does that make me?
Charlie Methven is definitely a Tory is from the South of England and displays all the associated elitist priveleged condescending views people of his background have of working class Northerners, and considering 99% of the SAFC fanbase fall into this category I feel it is a very good point. He believes he is above us and has let this slip quite a few times in his comments.
He believes the fan of this club are thick and don't understand business. Therefore, that has everything to do with his suitability to run this club.

And I agree with you. That’s exactly what he thinks imo. But what if he was a fully paid up member of the Labour Party? Would his affiliation to them be used as part of an insult? Would he be called an upper class socialist chancer on here? Of course he wouldn’t.

Exactly mate, I never understand why people think using who someone votes for as an insult. I personally am very selfish and dont stand by any particular party, I will vote for whoever at that time I think will benefit me and my family. I have met some incredible people over time who are of different political views to me and ive also meant some ****ers who share the same political views. CM is not an arsehole because he votes tories simple fact is hes just an arsehole
Mate, you’ve just agreed with me there. The wealth of the UK was made using brains from the north east, and I’m not tarring anyone, but my son, who is reading this as I post it, is quite right. These insults don't mean anything though mate, they're just cheap shots flung out in frustration. IMO there's no point analysing them. It always reminds me of the frustrated Barnsley supporter who shouted, "F**k off home you Bulgarian tosser," to Georgi Hristov ... ... who's actually Macedonian
