There’s a clip on the lions South Africa tour where he is running on those hard pitches and I’ve never seen anyone run that fast.
Ex Wales champion 100 m runner.

RIP Bobby truly brilliant loved them. Seen them many times Bobby picked on my son in the audience who was about 8 or 9 at the time. He had a very short haircut and kept telling him he had nits. My son was helpless.

    RIP.

But I still see that tackle by Moore
    And when Linekar scored
    Bobby belting the ball
    And Nobby Dancing...

    RIP Nobby Stiles.

Sad news. For those of us lucky enough to have been around at the time Nobby doing a jig round the pitch with the World Cup,socks round his ankles is a memory that will remain with us until we also shuffle off.

RIP, Nobby Stiles. One of footballs real characters.

    The game sorely needs characters.

Those of us lucky to be around at the time will remember the thud when you headed the leather ball, especially on a wet pitch. No wonder older pros feel that this was the cause of their dementia. I remember playing for the school headed the wet ball and it took me off my feet. Also left a big mark where the laces hit my forehead. Happy days!!!

That's why Stanley Matthews was appreciated. He always crossed with the laces on the other side of the ball to the header.

8 of the 11 players who won a world cup medal have sold them.

Can you imagine many players bothering to sell their medals nowadays?
They certainly wont mean as much to them either.

The thing is players today don't need to sell them.
