    "That pitch is in terrific condition" I said.
    "It bloody well ought to be" he replied. "We put millions of pounds worth of **** on it every week.

    Nobby Stiles has died. Saw him doing after dinner speaking a few years ago, pretty good sense of humour. Very hard tackler in his day.
