"We were all encouraged to come to halls of residence and meet new people, yet are now are being criticised for doing so," he said.
When a so called "future of Britain" student makes a comment like this from a uni campus block that has had the police called because they are partying and told to stop! … then god help us all. Apparently a number have also left to go home ...which in Scotland is illegal? .. no 2 house holds are allowed to inter mix!
SCOTLAND PRO RATA is on a path that may become the worse in the UK.... FUNNY HOW THE DRIES FOR INDEPENDENCE HAVE GONE AWAY …..

    NI ............….1person for every 6269
    Scotland ….. 1 person for every 7,703
    Wales ………. 1 person for every 8648
    England …… 1 person for 12,071

there is about 1.7 million POPULATION in somerset glos and avon so around 140 potentially positive cases today! [ simple guess ] [ will be less than due to concentrated areas in midlands and the NE / NW to about 41 ]

Matt Hancock made a useful contribution in explaining rules and other aspects of COVID a few opposite party negatives, god how lucky we are not have them in power.
usual lower figures for a Monday /Tuesday after weekend still over 4000 though Weds /Thursday will give a clearer indication. Wales .. I wonder how much of the outbreak is due to visitors coming into Wales, mingling like sardines or of people that took advantage and went away on last bank Holiday? and are suffering from exposure peeps from infected areas that should have stayed in lock down!! Police in Scotland issued 101 fines on the weekend and arrested 2 people .. this could mean they now carry a criminal record? [fined and arrested! ]
My wife has a hospital appointment tomorrow … for potentially serious consequences … within 7 days of referral Doctor had already sent referral before she was told by her [Dr] it was very serious … Whilst I can take her to the door not allowed in … has to go through it all on her own!! covid has a lot to answer for ….. everything here is crossed …..

Well this is my last response from Cornwall, I have been tucked away down here for the last 2 weeks, sun, showers and bloody cold hurricaine winds, we are closing down for the next few months and returning to our beloved home, had our flu jabs and returning to the isolation of Coved-19, can't wait to see my garden and workshop.

I hope to be back here in 2021, good luck all.

the virus is becoming a rather big worry now [ always has been of course ] but the geographical spread is telling a story.
the southwest [devon and cornwall] was other than WSM almost devoid of cases now a couple of the touristy hot spots are beginning to show signs of spreads. Whilst NEWQUAY seems relatively clear..surprise! the rest of the north coast seems to be suffering with around 60 cases from Perranporth down to the popular Hayle Redruth area [ high density of holiday camps /camping /BB/ holiday lets] ..Looe and the area of the scenic Plymouth /Cornwall border area also. there is 23 +cases around/in Torquay and over 120 cases in EXETER [ UNI city ].
I have history with EXETER UNI, and know that amongst their "weekend activities" they invade beach's in Devon and Cornwall by the mini bus full... !
Lets hope this is the peak......

interesting chart on the news showing the number of over 60's that have unfortunately died are following the upward trend. Didn't give totals but the line was basically below the TOTAL of the day so a lot [majority ] of [%] under 60's seem to be succumbing!

the labour party must really be struggling for a "logically minded " leader.
I listened in to the speech from Boris this afternoon, I thought it was very well presented ......gave facts figures and covered past actions and what was hoped will happen next. IT stated had agreement with Lpool and was in continuing and protracted talks with leaders of 4 or 5 other badly affected areas

sir hindsight gibberish Starmer thanks Boris for his early sight of the speech … then sets about over turning the things he agreed on in the past, quoting hindsight anecdotes that should have been addressed ! then States will the PM assure parliament that he will discuss the situation in badly affected areas with leaders of those area's !!!!!!
What hope have we regarding the future of this country under a party led by a point seeking dervish! WHAT bit of "had agreement with Lpool and was in continuing and protracted talks with leaders of 4 or 5 other badly affected areas on the way forward"
    …... ahhhhhhhhhh
GOT it he had a pre speech copy of the speech, but Boris set him up knowing that he always gets it wrong and changes his mind about what he agreed or mentioned before so left that phrase out!!!!! AND added it in when he gave the speech live! so instead of listening to Boris and what was said, and adjusting his address to suit he read from his pre prepared "jimmy opposite" speech [ written by JC's / Labours life time appointed speech writer / spin doctor].
JC used to sit there after PMQ with a face like a slapped donkeys a** ….. it seems to be a trait with Labour leaders ….

So a bit of clarity .. tier 1 2 3 … [ previous efforts knocked after agreeing to them by KS ] ARE NOW EVOLVING into more defined groupings [ cloth ears KS didn't seem to know what to make of them other than say ought to consult the leaders of... ].
My opinion is based around "evolving" the virus is and so are the attempts to combat it … the weak link is the twats that do not consider others, and disrupt the process. I would like to think that most on here have like myself been very respectful of what the .gov is trying to do.
the big lock down was an obvious winner... it stopped the virus in its tracks from completely blanketing us. It was difficult for the first 2 -3 weeks to get used to it then became easier as people realized they had time on their hands and within their bubble they could do things ………… garden … house …. explore [ with SD ] the area around them, the sun shone people relaxed and the spike became a blip … then the twats rose to the fore... broke ranks and sardined coasts and beauty spots not once but 4 or 5 times [ or more ] … the count started to go up … bring on the schools and UNI'S into the mix and hey ho … spike 2 …
As the professional's state, along with Boris, we are prepared …. all we need is that 25% of the population who are twats to fall back in line …. AND DO AS WE SHOULD TO COMBAT THIS EVIL KILLER …….

Burnham and Marvin want more power ...god help us in Bristol if Marv gets more power …. The mayor of London, and the mayor of Liverpool are to be commended. They accept the need for their areas to be in the tier 2 or 3 and all that goes with it.
Burham oversee's an area that has brought the plague to itself … flaunting guide lines and partying but now wants to set their own standards of drinking past midnight mixing it almost pretending it isn't happening? … Now Marv wants to have more power … bearing in mind so few voted him in … and most of Bristol don't want him anyway [a mayor that is ] his interference could spell doom and gloom!
one thing made me laugh he claims he has built 7000 new homes … well his tenure started as up to 10,000 new homes had been planned for the following years … agreed before he was voted in!
Liverpool gym's are contributing a few £000's to the economy... wonder how long it takes to make £10k profit?

last hot weekend coming up... invade the beach's spread the virus … party the nights away …

well had my flu jab ……. first ever …. never had flu and rarely get a cold.
the dead virii they have just implanted in me ...via a vaccine … will give my natural body immune system something to puzzle over!
CORBYN kicked out [ suspended] from Labour party … saw him on Tv being interviewed, he was almost in tears … <wah><wah><wah><wah> " I ve been in Labour party since I was born"<wah><wah><wah><wah> it is for political ends .. not true … Semitism out … <wah><wah><wah><wah>
second time in a couple of weeks a migrant who has only been in France a short time … matter of weeks, todays less than 2 weeks? !
… has murdered and beheaded French citizens. One has to ask the Q? how many are there on the coast waiting to get here to do the same!
I am beginning to get second thoughts on a lot of issues at present …
I have always felt sorry for, and respected those that make a few thousand miles journey along with aged or young members of their families. Against The injustices of some of the police events in USA .. and few more things.
However in rather subdued analysis of crime, and % of perpetrators [ in this country ] I wonder if my thinking is flawed or being put upon. These same sources of migration are part of the crime waves.
The last episode of Enslaved has been shown ..anti climax to a degree … but some startling facts were unearthed in parts 1-3 and home truth's aired.
S L J was in Gabon and initiated into his tribe! … he looked rather bemused throughout? One has to wonder, did the thought " had my great great great great great [ how ever many] grandfather not been a slave I would not be here," or maybe his birth line followed through and "I was still born, but in GABON!" A financially poor individual ! or HAD I not come from enslaved stock I would NOT be a multi millionaire with a couple houses employing servants to do my wish's .
covid … around a fifth of our uk population is now in "lockdown" the .gov site that used to give "parish cases seems to be elusive" would be very interesting to see where the cases in Bristol are!

interesting anomaly now being touted... a different evolution / modification of the first strain of the virus in a part of Spain during August has resulted in around 50% of the European [including about 50% in UK] being responsible for the present rise in numbers... this would, as has been suggested, mean that holiday makers to Spain failed to observe isolation when they returned? So have brought about the current dilemma upon themselves and family and neighbours!
Question to be asked regarding poor old JC and the anti semitic row … with the BBC ENHANCING THE COMMENTS TO MAKE THEM MORE VITRIOLIC, of Len Mclusky. will JC cause a split in the Labour party and have his own party! as there does seem to be quite a bit of support for him!!!
STARMER seems to be a bad fit for Labour, has not really had any consistency since his power grab .. even his comments this am on a war within the party was on the contradictory side … still in 3 or 4 days will as per usual change his mind, and that will show a real weakness of his resolve ……………..
coffee morning …. jitsu went well … zoom costs jitsu is free and no time limit. … main topic was City and the poor state of play over past 3 -4 games … one point of agreement was BAD decisions over Joe Morrel and Kasey Palmer both should have gone on loans!!! or not brought in Brunt and 1 or other gone on loan!.. Whats the point of investing time and money to get to play the way you want then getting shot of? without a fair run[ Morrel moreso ]
Also discussed Marv … the joke! as one stated..... Bristol is very quickly losing its identity and place in the top Cities of the UK... possibly even EUROPE/WORLD? Also the major problems of our roads [ central area] Bristol [central area ] unlike other major cities in UK is compact after red trews the roads had some semblance of smooth working.. however the 20 mph limit, increased pollution, and answer was close roads! thus causing jams and slower movement which caused even more pollution..... need some intelligence in the council house!

Very enlightening in some parts, unfortunately in other parts it lost the plot. I thought there may have been a heavier emphasis on " the major villians " the Spanish and French, the Dutch it seems were the first perpetrators of enslavement, but just got a casual mention. Very little about the British fighting against the slaving nations right up till the end of the 19th century. I had no idea that the majority of slaves were taken to South America, we always seem to be fed the story it was from Africa to England then on to North America and Caribean islands. I am glad I watched it, I would rate it 7 out of 10.

It was touted slavery lasted almost 400 years? Started by the dutch..[ dutch east india company DEIC] British involvement about 50 years [ 50 or so years after DEIC ] The black female journalist ancesters were traders!it seemed....irony here is they may have sold SLJ's ancestors into slavery!!!! there was some sad tales to come from it all in part 4 the ship that sunk because the captain was carrying "free slaves" who had fought in the America civil war and been captured! he would not put into port when offered the chance... very sad.
also some good tales of those happy with their lot.
whilst good, interesting and informative it was not so very well put together, sort of rushed … a six or 8 episode series maybe 10 -12 hours viewing would be next project, ok would cover some of what has been seen, but most documentaries do that anyway...………………. marks out of 10? wouldn't know where to start...………..
