How did that stay out? Lots of chances, but Lamela should put that away. Good blocks, I guess.

Our shooting has been appalling tonight, along with everything else.
Trying to hit it through tons of defenders or just blazing over. Keeper hasn't made one good save.

For an attacking player Lamela is not someone to bring on when 1-0 down. He’s a defensive attacker and would’ve been ideal at 3-0 up vs West Ham. So predictable when he has the ball. Lucas yet again still living off that semi final. Two players that need selling and replacing, luckily for them there’s a few more in line that need doing so first.

The better team won and should have won by more - not good enough tonight, but they played very well and stopped us from playing.

Bergwijn is far worse than Moura. He has done nothing at all for months.

    1-0 FT. Absolutely abject.
Credit to Antwerp. They were organised, worked hard and played some good stuff at times, too.
    We were awful everywhere, basically.

Starting lineup was wrong, the subs at half-time still left it wonky and we had to chuck Kane on, which also didn't work.
Mourinho should hold his hands up for this one and accept a lot of the blame, but I suspect he won't.
He'll be gracious to the Belgians, though. They deserve it.

1st away defeat of the season and 1st loss in 11 games.
Got what we deserved ... here's hoping we respond like we did after the Everton loss

Awful first half performance and barely better second half after the subs. Jose ought to be tearing strips off them in the next team meeting.

Bale looks well off the pace still and I have a feeling Alli won’t be seen again for a while.

Hopefully that prompts a kick up the arse for some of these players (and the coaches) and they step it up next time out.

    I agree he’s been ****.

Moura’s nearly been here three years though and won’t get better yet Jose seems to rely on him so much as if he’s another Kane. Lamela is just too predictable and has been here about seven years.

This was literally the same as Burnley, was genuinely amazed when I saw people finding positives in that match.

Only real difference from today and Monday was ingenuity from Harry Kane and a “you ****ing idiot” moment from Davies.

Ndombele along with son and Kane is looking like one of our most important players. Without him there is no drive at all from midfield. Winks tried with 5 minutes to go and you do think why can’t he try that a lot more often?! lo celso clearly isn’t match fit and we badly need him back up to speed.
All the positivity about getting bale back is fast evaporating and I’ve seen only a couple of small things that show that he can actually add to this team. He has done nothing to put forward a case for starting in the premier league. Right now I wouldn’t even have him on the bench. I would rather have Dele as an option tbh

A bunch of our players don't look anywhere near fit.
Lo Celso and Bergwijn are supposed to be coming back from injuries, but the latter looks far heavier than he did when he joined.
They should play a couple of U23 games with Bale to help them get back up to speed.

We also clearly have no idea how to form a midfield without Hojbjerg or Sissoko.
The first half was a total mess and we never recovered from it with the equally messy subs.

No where near good enough tonight. We seem to be really good, or really ****.

Their game plan was executed perfectly. We’ve struggled to beat teams for years that sit back like that. So frustrating to watch. Seemed like every lose ball went to one of their players, their defence was like a brick wall who blocked literally everything. Fair play to them.

We’ve got to find an answer for these sorts of teams though, as we’ve certainly got the players to unlock stubborn defences.
