The trouble with out of contract players if they haven't had a club since the summer is more often than not, they're not match fit when you take them on. By the time they get up to speed, it could be 4 to 6 weeks and Tutu should be back by then - especially with the international break in that time scale.
A good point well made sir. Though it could be argued that finding one or two for thinly covered positions might save us some trouble for future situations like this. I guess at the end of the day, it's whether the payroll can take it or not. Perhaps there's a born again superstar out there willing to play on a game contract! And perhaps I'll win the lottery.
Not many out of contract right backs on Transfermarket.co as Clingo says. What about Simon Francis ex Bournemouth? Bit old at 35 but was long serving at that club BfB will know being a closet Cherries fan.........................................
Good shout BT. He tore us apart in a couple of games 4 or 5 years ago. He wouldn't be expensive on wages either. He can play CB as well. However, at 35 he is getting on for a full back who likes to get up and down the touch line and he has suffered a lot of injuries in the last couple of injuries. He would be a risk but as a pay as you play arrangement it could work. Nevertheless I think Harris more or less closed the door on out of contract deals.
