Saputo is worth 5 Billion dollars, his family is worth 11-12 billion.....The other bloke seems to be a CFO who hides the money
As long as he fancies hiding some money in a League 1 football club with potential..... a doer upper would be on the estate agents sales particulars.
I’m an optimist, but with NB giving us the exclusive and JB confirming that in his latest interview and all of the positive noise on this thread there’s got to be something. I just hope it’s sooner rather than later.
Like your avatar major. Still the only Englishman to win the golden boot. Eat your heart out Sheeraaaaaah
My first really memories of Sunderland, when I started taking a noticeable interest was Quinn & Phillips. Special mention to Summberbee who I modelled myself as when playing Sunday league.
Think 100% we need a long term plan or at some point a project going great takes a bad turn through a few bad signings & the whole thing falls apart. That said, it needs to be a happy medium.....no matter what the games look like we HAVE to get out of this league, currently the football is horrendous to watch....if it got us promoted in the top 2 spots that would do me for the season, problem is you could see during our unbeaten start at some point we would not get goals to win games & start to concede....thats obviously was a couple of games back & altho dealt a bad hand parkinson does not have a clue For me the plan HAS to be get the fook out of this league asap, spend enough to compete toward promotion to the PL also with a long term strategy for the academy to bring enough youth players through, the kids who dont make pur first team are loaned until were sure the cant make it here then are sold making sure we have a massive sell on clause Thats got to be out starting point
It’s quite funny reading your comments we have been patient for the last 47 years I am sure a few more won’t hurt.
We need a long term plan but if we brought in 2/3 good players at this level no reason why we couldn’t go up this season.
I think that as long as the fans are made aware of the new owners intentions and plans they will be quite happy , the main thing is that they HAVE a plan and strategy to stabilise the club with key appointments in all areas a priority. The fans have endured a lot of heartache in recent years and will be hopeful of the new owners wanting the club to have short term goals as well as long term goals . The new owners will need all of the fans to give them backing which I am sure they will particularly if they see changes being made for the better , come on let’s get this takeover completed sooner rather than later!!!
I get what you are saying but the plonkers we have now had some great plans in their heid, they just didn’t act on any of them and in turn went the other way be selling the future. I want actions rather than words this time around.
