If it's any comfort Norway I did that once after a festival in Belgium, had a Eurostar ticket for late evening and got to Brussels before midday. In fairness the station had fantastic facilities, but after a brief walk outside I decided it wasn't the sort of area I'd want to take a wrong turn in.

There are many qualities that I like about the relaxed approach to life that so many of the people I come into contact with have. I can't say it really gets me agitated when I am at the supermarket till overhearing some elderly soul discussing with the shop keeper why the doctor only prescribed one carrier bag of medicine instead of two. It is quite normal to find your progress down a lane impeded by a farmer moving a flock of sheep three-quarters of a mile to new pasture. It is even fun to stop at a pedestrian crossing to let people go on their way and watch their faces as they make up their minds as to do you really mean it.

However just occasionally it can get to you. The housing market is very similar to the UK at the moment, depressed, so you would think that the opportunity to do some business would be jumped at. Last night I sent off an e-mail saying that I wished to make an appointment for a viewing. Nothing heard from the agency at 4.00pm so I telephone them. In my best French I ask if they have received said communication, but person I am speaking to doesn't see them, so cannot help. She does however take my telephone number and says that the person I need to speak to is tied up, but she will get her to phone as soon as she is free.

I can only assume that the office is in the middle of a bondage session and she has not fought her way out as there has been no phone call. No doubt if queried what has happened I will be told that it is Monday and I was lucky to find the office open. Oh well I will go to the office tomorrow and start all over again.

    Steve McLaren needs a job.
    Keith Millen needs a job.
    Sean O'Driscoll needs a job.

When will journalists start linking any of them with Watford, even though we have a manager.

    My quote of the day.

"With some players, if he has a chihuahua character I can't make a chihuahua into a rottweiler. He could be a proud chihuahua but he remains a chihuahua.

"So many of the players at the moment are chihuahuas away from home - this is the truth."

Anyone like to take a guess on who said this? ;)

If Eric Cantona was a manager I think he would say this. Because it is not Eric Cantona the speaker is someone who is not English because they would say bulldog.

I'd be amazed if it was SD. On the basis of their performance yesterday, I'd say Colin but then it's the sort of thing that could come from 'Olly's mouth. My final option/guess (take your pick) is that it's a foreign manager and something has got lost in translation.

BCFC Red you could have Steve McLaren for Bristol City, an England manager and goalkeeper together.
