I try not to be too negative but that was pretty hopeless. Long diagonals all night and a lot of them were inaccurate. We don't have players who can commit a man other than Hume and we have no passing patterns to play through a side. I would love to see what a coaching session looks like because I see nothing tonight that appears to come from training. Where are the patterns of play and the movement to create space. The players also need to make decisions on the pitch - most of the night it was 3 v 1 at the back and I saw maybe twice one of the centre halves carry it into their half. The two holding lads are too deep and when in possession are poor. I am going to get myself a drink!

I’d start him. Think he’s the best cf we’ve got. “Lumpa” in league 1? Wages are pish in football terms man. His allegiance is totally irrelevant too.

I would wager there wasnt a huge queue for him. An absolutely dire signing and no improvement on what we had, what's the point in signing him, none.

That feels like more of a defeat than Saturday ...

.. Rochdale are a bloody good bunch of lads playing in a pub team.

No the wonder our youngsters are happy to leave the club , the established players are far too comfortable for my liking and at times look totally disinterested and go through the motions with the youngsters never given a chance . PP - mister safety first is watching our promotion ambitions go down the pan , our master plan is Bailey Wright playing the ball out wide and hoping for the best , who did we have as right wing back Conor McLaughlin who though willing is not really suited to the role . In an earlier post I criticised Power and Dobson and I stand by that absolutely .

I like the look of Sanderson mind. Putting aside their goal, he looks assured and confident. He looked like he was breathing like I will be this Sunday (I’m running a half marathon!) at the end but he’ll get match fit and be an asset IMO.

Disappointed about Dobson. I honestly thought, at times last season, he looked like he would make a decent midfielder.

hopefully the fact that Embleton is nearing fitness might make a difference??

Just said exactly the same. Considering the league we are in and the opposition that was diabolical. We will struggle to make the playoffs with this bugger in charge Keep hoping Parkinson will prove us wrong but his team selection and tactics are truly baffling

the main difference in my opinion was that they fought for a result...we did not even attempt to go through the motions with any kind of gusto, even the usually live-wire maguire seemed very subdued...hume again our only real workhorse, when you have one lad fighting for a result out of 11 (two when scowen came on) then we are never going to get these comfortable wins.

You cant blame Dobson tbf. Hes just playing to the best of his ability.
We were the daft tw@ts that decided to sign him from Wallsall. Its our Scouts and recruitment team that need to hold their heads in shame.

So can I ask for my tenner back

We only started to play 10-15 minutes from time... sorry lads what about the other 75mins.

Good from the night... i am starting to like Danny Collins (played for Brazil iirc) commentary... even he said Dobson was not playing well

    Atm I doubt promotion

Agree the younger lads need to be given games. Some of these regulars are playing in straight jackets. There is no freedom and nothing off the cuff. Whether the manager is brave enough is another thing...
