Takeover (Covid-19/20)

I'd still like to know what's going on with Ashley's attempts... I mean is this just something he wasn't aware was taking place? Or is it part of the plan?

 

I think this is just as well as Ashley’s attempts. It wouldn’t hurt having this going on also.

 

Hmmm seems like a futile attempt unless it's part a a bigger plot..

A group of Newcastle United supporters is threatening the Premier League with legal action following the aborted takeover of the club this summer.

The group, named "Newcastle Consortium Supporters Ltd", has sent a letter before action to the Premier League, accusing them of having breached competition law.
Sky Sports News has seen a copy of this letter - sent to the Premier League on Tuesday - in which the group asks that communications surrounding the takeover are made public.
The group says it has enlisted the help of Robert O'Donoghue QC of Brick Court Chambers as it seeks to take its case to the Competition Appeal Tribunal.

The Premier League declined to comment on the matter when contacted by Sky Sports News.

The proposed takeover of Newcastle fell through at the end of July when the Saudi-backed consortium walked away from the deal, citing the length of time it had taken and issues with the global pandemic.


Newcastle subsequently criticised the Premier League for their handling of the proposed takeover following the collapse of talks between the two parties.

 

I would love it, love it, if they announced tomorrow, but cant see that happenning.

Seems to be taken with a pinch of salt as anyone would reading that it's just some fans behind it..

The question is whether Ashley's are is underway and whether they're all in contact and it's part of a bigger plan.

I think we might have jumped the gun again, but let's see what unfolds

 

So the barrister thry have enlisted is not a colleague of Nick de Marco.

 

No so it's just some futile attempt from some fans

 

What I would actually love is if they reinstate the Friday Announcement specifically to confirm the takeover and that Ashley is leaving.

Seems a futile and embarrassing effort tbh.. Should've just let Ashley and demarco them get on with it... Just some fans acting above their station and will be totally out of their depth
