Mansfield league 2, won 0 drawn 5 lost 3, for 6 against 10 21st. No supporters at any 1st round f a cup game either. Ipswich vs Portsmouth, Hull vs Fleetwood wow two of them go out.
Was happy with this draw wish fans were allowed in. Lived in Mansfield for 5 years my two youngest daughters were born there.
This would've been a guaranteed punch up with supporters allowed ... ... Before the Norwich City final I was initially struggling for a ticket. I went online and started looking for second hand St John's Ambulance uniforms, there was loads! I'd convinced myself I could con my way in and probably would ... ... I have previous for this kind of malarkey. I once conned my way into the press box at Highbury sitting next to Doug Weatherall
Always enjoyed reading your posts over the road about how youve 'conned' your way into matches. Perhaps you could put on a pair of pink trousers, adopt an educated accent and just walk through the VIP entrance. Food for thought mate!
Nice one. For the Southend away game last season, that never happened, me and Wakey had quotes from plant hire companies for a cherry picker. The plan was to pretend to be local painters starting work after the last match. You could've crammed a dozen people in so would've been a bargain.
Just looked through the draw to see what our chances are of being televised. What do you reckon, South Shields have a chance of being on imo.
Sadly you're not wrong mate. I really believed they'd suspend the competition until next year and start with the current fixtures.
It would be great to have supporters back of course but we have too much to worry about, look at Oxford's fixtures piling up due to covid, so we should have duffed it and the league cup for this season, or televise as many 1st and 2nd round games for clubs to get money in, there is enough channels to cover every match maybe the beeb could show 10 at £100,000 per match ITV , B T etc.
