As you probably have gathered, I follow PL players less than astro, but when ever I see a news story about Leicester it always involves Vardy. I just looked up his age, he's 33, what your lot going to do once he's gone? I know you will have other goal scorers, but who's the man that will rise to the ocassion, when you need another 80th minute goal away at Arsenal.
That is THE question ... at this point we don't really have anyone ... Harvey Barnes is a wonderful talent but a very different kind of player ... we made numerous bids (allegedly) to take Trincao from Barca's reserves over the summer (loan with option to buy) but all to no avail ... he's now keeping Greizman out the team, so that bird looks to have flown ... Vardy is actually getting better with age - his link-up play is way better than it used to be ... but he will lose his pace at some point so we are on a bit of a time bomb ... but, as I said, can't fault the recent recruitment ...
You're spot on about Vardy getting better. He's developed a football brain and his movement is now top class as well as his ability to link the play which was practically nonexistent before. Think he can go on for a while yet as his pace is definitely still there. Regarding transfers...any idea on the net spend since the Thai owners bought in ?
There will be no point the club carrying on, fold it We’ll have to bring in to replace, we have nobody up to that standard internally. Luca Jovic was mentioned in the summer but as club of our standing will not get a quality striker to play second fiddle to Vardy so unlike other positions where we have been quite good at bringing the next one in, it may be a like for like in a summer window or Vardy begins to be an impact sub and a new guy is first choice
I haven't mate ... we've had a few turkeys, Musa, Slimani and Adrian Silva ... but they pale into insignificance when you compare Kante 6.5 - 30 Drinkwater 500k - 40 Mahrez 450k - 60 Maguire 16 - 80 and Chilwell nowt - 40 ... ... add to that spending £1m on Vardy
I'm not missing anything because I know you'll play hardball. I'm still right in saying that recently you've lost your best players to the top clubs and that's for two reasons. The players wanted to go and the big clubs can afford to stump up the cash. There's no reason to suggest that won't be the case with Fofana. Agreed about Castagne. He looks a terrific player.
That's what I mean...you seem to have sold players for massive amounts after great recruitment in the first place. Probably only Vardy that didn't take the big move, so fair play to him.
RIP Frank Bough Didn't realise he was into Hookers and Coke https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertai...tOPPx3sszslGiXSa17zS0JA1AJZ0LW-IJWoay3L8BpvjY
