I want to know if it was true that the room this all happened in was a room that had windows looking onto the pitch, but they had to cover the windows.

As you went in, you received two masks, the second was a blindfold. When you filled in the track and trace, you also had to sign that you promised not to peek.

it’s illegal to drink alcohol in view of the pitch, so the blinds on the restaurant are closed during every game, this was actually no different to normal.

How do people in private boxes go on then? Do they not drink?

The boxes also have blinds and you have to stay behind them when you’re drinking, just standing near the door with a pint in your hand gets you a knock on the door.

A company who did refractory work for the place I worked had an executive box at the Riverside when they were PL with the likes of Ravanelli, Juninho etc - a few times a season we'd get a junket from this company where they'd taxi us up there in a small coach and wine and dine us in their box; we were told same as you, stay in the box to drink and you're ok. I missed that freebie when they were relegated, smoggie twats <laugh>

I had exactly the same at the Etihad. I wasn't allowed to celebrate outside. I had to go back into the box. It seemed a very long way after Bullard scored the penalty. 11years ago.

The last time we played Man Utd at the KCOM there was a group of Man U fans in the home end who insisted on taking their beers to their seats. A couple of stewards saw them and apparently thought about having a word with them but then changed their minds and decided to take no action. The Man U fans thanked them by mockingly raising their glasses in appreciation.

Quite simply there is a much lower fire risk at a rugby league match than a football match.

It’s just a fact, why don’t you move on?

What about those grounds where high rise blocks overlook the pitch?

Is it illegal for them to drink?

Why would they drink when they're already high :1980_boogie_down:

Football fans are like tinder compared to the slow burning tyre fire of rugby fans.
