That the interests of, and care for, children should come before politics ... but then she was from a big family who came through the war and experienced rationing first hand.

while IDS was , is and always will be he actually protested strongly about the cut to UC for in work claimants but it was forced through by George Osborne to make up for the fact his cuts to Tax Credits had been scuppered ( by HoL iirc ) so he did it to UC as at that time not many had moved onto it but the savings to the Treasury would grow as more moved on .

You can claim UC without using the net for it not to be so would be illegal due to the equalities act .

Yes, if you’re unable to complete the online form - even with assistance - due to disability. But you still need a phone and we’ve strayed into semantics here like.

Rashford said: "Following the game today, I had a good conversation with the prime minister to better understand the proposed plan, and I very much welcome the steps that have been taken to combat child food poverty in the UK."

He said his immediate concern was the children who miss out on support "because their family income isn't quite low enough".

But he added: "The intent the government have shown today is nothing but positive and they should be recognised for that.

"The steps made today will improve the lives of near 1.7 million children in the UK over the next 12 months, and that can only be celebrated."

It's a never-ending battle Marcus, but fate has chosen you to man the machine gun post for this phase of it. Good luck to you sir, good luck to you. :emoticon-0165-muscl
