Good local journalist which fills me with some hope though on the other hand he is also freelance so has to sell stories to the papers. Could be easily just reading the forums!
I'm sure someone said in the past he used to write for the Sunday sun or something like that and his info was legit
I've seen a few people, quite rightly, say that this isn't the best time to buy a football club. But equally, from Donald's point of view, it isn't the best time to own one with limited funds and income. I really don't believe he's chancing his arm again and going all out for promotion. It seems a popular opinion that Donald would instantly find a buyer if we went up but there's no guarantee of that. In fact if we scraped up we'd need a big investment in the squad to stay up. If Donald didn't find a buyer he'd be in a very difficult position.
So the vibes I'm picking up here are it's an American(s) potentially not FFP and it's all set for 10th November?
Sadly we left the NE for the East Midlands pits when I was around 8 years old ... ... they started us young in those days! So I didn't start 'travelling' until I was around 15 and could tell me Mam I was 'going to a mate's for the day'. My first trip to Roker Park was 2 years later when I bought an old Mini and coaxed it up the A1. Happy days..
I think he did too. Just read what he said and as far as I am concerned, it's very very close to the mark. Well that's the info I have been getting and shared across on here and via messages in private.
He did and, iirc, wrote a great article about Stokoe and said he was at Wembley 73. He's quite a steady journalist so I'd tend to believe what he says.
I was four when my dad took me to Roker.I don't recall much about the match but I do still remember the noise.. 7 , my first game I remember was against Spurs , I think in the Cup.in the Fulwell end where I stayed forever until the last ever game which was in the clock stand seats which I've just been renovating after 20 years in storage...They do look good in the garden.
