Where the PPV argument becomes more complicated is when you're a casual fan with no particular interest in either club. Take tonights game between Liverpool & Sheff Utd for example. Now normally this would be a 3pm KO and I'd have little interest in watching that particular game, however it's now an 8pm KO and due to covid restictions I'll be home tonight so wouldn't mind watching but may lose interest half way through.

So I'll see how I feel after watching redscum v bluescum...but it does feel like they are dangling a carrot in front of me and at a fiver I would probably bite.

Sky could offer it as a package. They could easily offer you the choice of 140 games of their choice which would suit a football fan with no allegiance or at the start of the season you pick one team and get 38 games. Still share the money out equally, just consumers get a choice of multi package or single team.

Have to be careful with this one.

Need to keep Solskjaer in his job for as long as possible, whereas Fat Frank can go f**k off right now.

That's what Child Benefit is for....or is it? I wonder what these parents are spending it on if they're not using it to feed their kids.

Child Benefit is more than enough for food, clothes etc. No need for even more handouts.

Easy to say when you're not relying on such things!

£21.05 pw (£3 pd) for the first child, £13.95 pw (£2 pd) for any others. IMO, that's not enough to feed a child, far less clothe them.

That’s plenty if they just made a little effort instead of spunking it on McDonald’s.

They shouldn’t have kids if they can’t afford to feed and clothe them.

It's hard to manage for sure, but it's not supposed to be a way of life, just for a few weeks till you get another job.

Problem is when it does become a way of life. Saw a documentary a few years back about a particularly rough area of Limerick. There were over 1k families. 95% were 3rd generation unemployed. Think about that. That’s about 70 years of social

And that why benifits needs to be low, shouldn't be money for beer or cigs. They aren't free school meals, they are other people paid for school meals.
