Harsh, we had a shot the deflected onto the post, they had a shot that deflected in, sometimes luck goes against you. We've been comfortably the better team today, just one of those smash and grab games that happen to everyone once in a while.
You've got a dynamic winger in Mayer on the bench, brings him on at 89 mins. I don't know what the **** goes through his head.
We have been outdone, because their manager realised their system wasn't working and switched it. When they scored, our manager did bugger all, they scored again, he did bugger all again. Either he's under orders not to play a different system, even during games, or he's a ****ing idiot. Or both.
Out it interest, what would you do to change it with the players we have on the bench? We have had 13 shots to their 5! It's not as if we have been outplayed or not created anything. We just haven't taken the chances
We haven't been outdone at all, they took their chances and we didn't, it's as simple as that. 13 shots Vs 5. What would you have done different that would have stopped elder&greeves making a mistake and us missing our chances
After they scored the first we were absolutely battering them and should have retaken the lead, their second was an individual mistake combined with a complete fluke. Let's not pretend they were tactically beaten today, on another day that's a comfortable 2 or 3 nil win.
Same old from McCann, smallwood had a good game but was out on his feet, needed more energy in the last ten. Unlucky with deflection but we didnt do enough.
Shame that, a draw would have been about right. We seemed bewildered by their change of shape at half time as well as us starting the half in first gear. Once again McCann doesn't seem to now what to do in those circumstances.
We aren’t all mystic megs tho are we And this is what happened last season We do ok but they change things we don’t adapt to it and we lose teams will be taking note of that We’re still going to beat the majority of teams as this league is **** and we have far better players
Also, Mallik Wilks was running riot when playing through the middle. So now he's moved out wide to accommodate Magennis. Not sure I get that.
Well seems my concerns were well founded .. 1-0 up at half time and we come out 2nd half and manage to play like that .. then the genius that is stands scratching his head wondering how it went wrong .. AGAIN ! this is what happens when a manager is totally inflexible in his tactics .. smart managers work them out and counter it .. leaving McCann clueless as to what to do next. I say again we WILL NOT achieve anything with this clown in charge .. get someone else in .. drill this lot of players and we have a promotion contender
Sorry but I have to disagree, I think Peterborough were fortunate, we created more chances and better chances, just couldn't put them away. Even the Peterborough commentators couldn't believe their luck, not once did they suggest they were the better team.
Anyone watching Final Score on BBC? Garth Crooks need a name change to Girth Crooks ... he looks like a ****ing Weeble sat in that chair. **** score, we know about McCann but we’re stuck with him. No crowds are helping him stay employed. We are where we are, we have what we’ve got. We move on.
Number of shots means **** all - a team could have 30 shots from the halfway line, it still gets counted as a shot. It's like when people claim possession stats, which also mean sod all. Not a clue for certain how I would change it - but at the same time, I'm not claiming to be a professional football manager. For me, Mayer would've come on much earlier (for KLP) - I'd have moved to 2 players up front (Move Wilks further up) and possibly changed Smallwood, who was flagging early in the second half, for Alfie Jones. Move Honeyman or Docherty to the right midfield. Posh's play was mainly coming through our left hand side, so I would've moved to make sure that side has someone constantly covering the fullback. What use is bringing on Mayer in the 89th minute for ****s' sake? He should've been on the moment Posh equalised.
