As much as I don't like him you have to doff your cap, we thought it was great when our lads were on the van roof so you have to admire his dedication, the lunatic
Team prediction from the Chronic However, there could be one change in midfield where Ben Close could return to partner skipper Tom Naylor. Ryan Williams and Michael Jacobs are expected to win back-to-back starts out wide, leaving Ronan Curtis on the bench. Former Sunderland target John Marquis and Marcus Harness played as a strike partnership for the first time this season at Gillingham and worked well together, playing a hand in both goals between them. They can expect to stay up top against Sunderland, with Ellis Harrison currently injured and new signing Jordy Hiwula short on match fitness. Portsmouth predicted XI: MacGillivray; Johnson, Whatmough, Raggett, Brown; Williams, Naylor, Close, Jacobs; Harness, Marquis
Aye probably, just a bit sad if it's the attention he's addicted to. If it's just about supporting the team then fair play to him.
Think thats about right. Don't think this one will be pretty Portsmouth will have watched our last games where we have pressed high expect a lot of long balls from them and trying to push our wingbacks back wont work 3-1 onwards and upwards
He's not even a lifelong Portsmouth supporter, just jumped on the bandwagon ... ... I'd be ashamed if he was one of ours.
He owes me tbh. No one praised his contribution on RTG more than Reiver. Tell him, if he doesn't start posting on here I'll get him at playtime
I'm going 2-0, I think it will be a routine win against a Pompey side who aren't as good as last year whereas we look stronger. Maguire and Scowen with the goals. Jacket sacked after the match.
Willis in for McL the only change. Flanno on bench. Still no Sanderson. interesting that O’Nien has seemingly crept above McLaughlin in the CB pecking order
I would have dropped either Grigg or Graham and put Kimpi on the bench. Purely to have something a bit different to what we know both of them can do. Usually sweet f*ck all.
yes and I’m completely behind Parky on that. The one thing nobody can argue with is we are looking so organised. No point jeopardising that. I think it’s even to the point that O’Nien is playing above McL is because Willis is a RCB not LCB, and he didn’t want to move Connor across to LCB when O’Nien has been training there. Plus O’Nien is better of course, but I get the sense Parkinson wants to keep things as rigid as possible. Is that fun? No. But it’s working so far.
If it ain’t broke an that. parky looked very upbeat in his match preview. Think all the players have bought into his ideas now and we will start scoring at some point we’re very close to pissing this league like we should.
