This game will really tell is more about McCann, McCann took over from Ferguson at Donny & has also the connections with Peterborough. This should be one McCann personally should want to get one over on Ferguson, as I am sure there is a bit of rivalry there.

If we lose it, then after the Fleetwood capitulation and then losing to another promotion rival, this will tell us a lot.

Having said all that, I am going for the draw, but if we can win it, then that is a big statement and would hopefully give us the confidence to push on.

P.S. Note to Terry, stick with Greaves alongside Burke.

I don’t think we will win today. I think they’ll attack from the off, we will concede and then never recover.

I really like the look of the Burke & Greaves partnership.
I think we will see the best of City today.
    3-1 City.

I'm not sure BBC local radio is much of a yardstick, but both of those cover the areas around them, in much the same way as ours does, so by that standard, we have the same as them, only our halfwits chose a daft name. I'm also not all that bothered. If you'd wanted to make a point, you would have found it easier to point at the local radio stations in Peterborough. :emoticon-0105-wink:

I'll add my prediction to the poll after the match, just to annoy chaz, but looking on Sky bet, there's some decent odds for lots of goals, and Peterborough fans tend to see more goals than any other club. :emoticon-0105-wink:

Defender Jacob Greaves is hoping his performances have earned him another start as the Tigers prepare to face Peterborough United at the KCOM Stadium this afternoon.

Greaves made his league debut for the Tigers in the 3-0 win over Rochdale, and the Hull City Academy product is delighted with the start he’s made.

“It was brilliant away at Rochdale,” he said. “Jordy was ill during the week so I got the shout that I was starting and it took me back a little bit, but then I just had to get straight into the zone and treat it as just another game I had to prepare for and fortunately we won 3-0, so it was a great league debut.

You don’t go into a game to not also try and play the next one. I’ve gone into the two games I’ve played to do my best and to keep the shirt and I managed to keep it for Tuesday night which was good, but now I’m hoping to try and keep my shirt for as long as I can.

“We’ve watched Peterborough and we’ve done our work on them so we know what to expect. They like to pass the ball and they’re a physical side. They’ve got (Jonson) Clarke-Harris who I played against when he was at Bristol Rovers and he’s a handful, but we know what they’re about and we’ll do what we can to impose ourselves on the game.

“We’ve got six points this week so far, but we want to make it nine to complete the week. Hopefully we can get the three points and keep building that gap between us and the rest of the league.”

For a few weeks, I am writing the previews and match reports for the OSC web site, just short pieces.

"The pundits see the game against Peterborough as a battle between two sides who are fairly even in terms of performance. Well, this may be true on paper, but on the pitch, a different story and outcome often emerges.

With a matrix of links between the two clubs this game could be all about pride..

Managers Grant McCann and Darren Ferguson know each other inside out, with Ferguson considering Grant to be his star pupil. As it stands, the former Posh favourite McCann, has the upper hand in contests between the two managers, with one win and two draws so far in Grant’s favour.

The big question will be “Does Jacob Greaves, keep his place?” His performances deserve the start, but as we all know, the squad has a bit of depth to it now and he could maybe take a break.

Saturday could either be as dull as ditch water midfield contest or a full-on end to end battle for the win. The only thing that is for certain is that both managers will take the result personally and each will feel that their pride is at stake."

    Player to watch Jonson Clarke-Harris.

A 0-0 or a 1-1 for me, although unlike us and Ipswich P'boro haven't had their regulation 4-1 drubbing yet so you never know...

Looking forward to it for a few reasons, see how we perform, can we match or outplay P'boro, will Terry change things if it's not going to plan, (I think I know the answer to this one already) if JG plays how he will fare against their attack? A lot of individual battles to be won, have we got the bottle?
