Painting the bathrooms today and tomorrow. Weather ****ing grim. Lockdown is actually alright in this weather, wouldn't go anywhere anyway.
Spate of burglaries in my local area last night, all for cars. Some video footage of lads breaking in and threatening owners with knives etc. Not sure how I’d react, sure I’d like to do the grown up thing and hand over the keys and let them get off, but if somebody was stood in my house, where my kids are, with a knife I think it could be curtains for either him or me. When we were burgled we never woke up, probably a blessing in hindsight.
Yeah if I was away from home I'd probably just hand over the keys, come to my home and I'll react a little differently.
If somebody has a knife, mate. Hand over whatever they want, material items and money can be replaced.
Yeah and I think that’s the option I’d like to take but if the fella looks unstable or a junkie, in the back of my mind would be “Will he stab me anyway so I can’t call the police?” Hopefully lightning won’t strike twice.
This is just some coaching thing that you can pick n choose when you go, only been going past 3 weeks. Hour and half for 6 quid ain't bad either, good for him socially as well init.
Even just the exercise is a good thing bro, so many fat kids around who won’t peel themselves away from an Xbox these days. Not always the parents fault either cos the streets are different to when you and me grew up.
Ive been held up at knifepoint before, by some little scrote back in London. There’s not a lot you can do tbh. Because some ****s will just stick a blade in you for a pack of fags.
Yeah we discussed this recently how kids have it **** these days. The exercise is definitely good every Saturday too. Sounds silly but I was delighted when he still wanted to go today when it's been pissing down, was worried it'd put him off.
I got robbed by some crackhead not that long ago when I was going to get some gear on a night out. Luckily it meant I had 40 quid seperate to the oner in my wallet and he was more than happy with that. Think I posted about it on here at the time.
Doesn’t sound silly mate, some kids love the outdoors rain or shine. I often take the first born out in the rain to jump in ****ing muddy puddles.
I always wonder, if I’m at the top of the stairs with a bigger knife or a crow bar would they just turn and bolt.
