Their next move will be to vanish ... ... then plan their strategy for pulling the new people to pieces. It's what they live for.
Just finished listening. Interesting at the start when asked if he was in regular contact with SD he dodged the question and just said they had regular and constructive board meetings Also get the feeling he doesn't know an awfully about the detail of the deal however He constantly talks about them as buyers And even at one point refers to them as the potential new owners of the club. So yea nothing happening
After many people on forums, including myself, saying we really need something from the club to let us know what's going on, I think they've read our words and that is it. Possibly the best they can do at present due to the sensitive stage of negotiations.
Yeah, or claim that the club is just saying that to keep people quiet, and that it still isn't happening.
Down to Donald that. Hoping the share issue has been rectified and it's more of a full blown wipe out of the past top brass. Don't think it will be fully but the more the better
Up until now there has been no club comment and all info was coming from Barnes secret source. If it goes tits up that would give the club complete deniability and just claim the info was false/exaggerated. Now the club essentially confirmed it’s ongoing they are accepting that if it goes wrong now they will get the stick they got, quite rightly, when it fell through last year. That would suggest an increased confidence from the club of it happening. We’ve been here before and it went wrong fingers crossed we will have something to cheer soon.
Without fans at matches, in the pubs or hospitality the only way for them to guage the mood is to come on the forums. A few, from the club have actually posted but, after a burst of activity, have invariably vanished. It's pathetic to see them pretending to be one of the lads, you either are or you aren't ... ... they, so obviously, aren't.
It's been agreed. I said on Sunday morning. Just checked to confirm. I wanted to be clear as the ink wasn't dry. But they have agreed terms.
Ha I'll be highly surprised if they come on and admit you were right Plenty that appreciate the info from you @Prehab26 @Magnus @Wheatsheaf and any others , cheers lads . Friday beers time
You may well be due apologies from two different forums ... ... although I'm counting no chickens In all honesty I really don't want to be pointing fingers and I'm sure you, Magnus, etc feel the same. We're all supposed to be Sunderland together and all pull together. I hope things work out as we hope and we can just get back to supporting our team.
Rodwell specifically mentioned once due diligence on a deal is done the next stage would be to hopefully have a share purchase agreement drawn up and then the deal completed, that fits with what you are saying about where we are at currently.
Plenty on SMB with serious trust issues. CEO of the club goes out of his way to go on a podcast days after a rumour of him saying no takeover in a pub, and states in podcast that there is actually a takeover. Yet still some say he's making it up. I don't know who are worst , the Sunderland fans seem hell bent on its not happening or Trump voters?
They'll say they're as happy as the rest of us, which is their whole set up anyway, we get bought out they win we don't they still get the consolation prize of being right.
"I think we'll get beaten easily by Portsmouth but no one will be more pleased than me to be wrong." Same shyte every season tbh.
10th November people. I’ve got a feeling in my gut that @Wheatsheaf knows what he’s talking about. Although I don’t have a clue why they’d wait until then, but I guess that could just be a self imposed deadline the parties have set to their lawyers to get it all sorted.
I have a Spurs supporting mate who bets against them every single game so that he’s happy if they win or lose. Disgusting. I love it when they draw.
