The reports I hear from Italy are rather alarming and they are fearing hospitals will overrun. One of my mates is married to an Italian girl whose family resides in Italy so we have the insight in to reality there.

Italy is said to be 3 weeks behind the U.K so things will get a lot worse. Appreciate you always want to bang that continuous drum of how terrible our government is but there are problems amounting in that country.

The statement of they have learnt we have not is a ridiculous one. Maybe Italians are more responsible and adhere better to social distancing. A lot of people in the U.K, especially in the cities have a problem following guidance. It was a shame the major of Manchester did not highlight this as part of the reason for the lockdown of the city. Unfortunately though that would nt of helped him in the popularity stakes and done much for massaging his ego..

I wonder how the 4.7m votes were split? Apparently it's neck and neck in Florida and Texas, of all places. Interesting. Biden holding up very well. Trump looks a bit clapped-out? Understandably, I guess.

More total bollocks from the left-wing nutter in his covid cave.

They had lockdown all across Europe and coronavirus is still everywhere.

Try looking at the evidence you fool. It has not worked.

They had no lockdown in Japan and the plague barely gets a mention.

SAGE originally were against a lockdown back in March saying it would cause a second wave, so we locked down late; and now they have changed their tune in September. They are a bunch of worthless charlatans who should be spurned like a rabid dog. It will be over soon is the biggest lie that has been repeated for over six months.

According to the lunchtime news bulletin, there are 35 patients on the covid ward at Hull Royal Infirmary out of a city of 280,000 plus people. Quick lock everyone up.

For “people who are supposed to know about these things” read snake oil salesmen who just keep changing their tune when everyone realises that the last one sucked. Ferguson will be off shagging his concubine now that no-one is watching.

I know nobody that has tested positive; and the only people that I know that have even had a test are a colleague, his wife and kids because their school sent all the kids home as one of the teachers had a positive test.

Did that old couple get on the next bus to anywhere just to escape from Steveo’s mum? <laugh> They should be safe as she has no chance of tracking and tracing them.

Wow it is still here who would have thought it <laugh>
Although this year has probably been one of surprises for you, it has gone mostly as I anticipated after I first read that the virus was spreading from person to person in mid January.

from there it was only a matter of time before the virus spread to Europe, which it did a month later.
Funnily enough because the UK locked down later than all other European nations we have a higher death toll than all other European nations.
Contrary to right wing brainwashing SAGE were in favour of a lockdown in early March. It just took a couple of weeks for Boris to get round to it. Sir Patrick Vallance stated this in July.
For someone who likes to place an emphasis on FACTS maybe you should get some right one day.

“It will be over soon” I don’t understand this point. who said it? Probably you <doh>
It has been clear that normality cannot resume until a vaccine is found so probably at least 6 months, although the world will take a good couple of years to get back to normal.

the virus was clearly going to die down in the summer although of course here in the UK it took a lot longer than say Germany.
The right wing nutters then of course opened up the UK too early and so the second wave has taken off here quicker than most other countries. SAGE suggested a lockdown, ignored of course and so here we are - 200 daily deaths and rising.

if we do not lockdown then hospitals will start to be overrun in November.
    Clear enough for you ?

"The Trump campaign has been videotaping Philadelphia voters while they deposit their ballots in drop boxes, leading Pennsylvania's attorney general to warn this week that the campaign's actions fall outside of permitted poll watching practices and could amount to illegal voter intimidation."

"Democracy works best when everyone eligible to vote gets to vote. Scare tactics and intimidation hampers that from happening. We should all stand against that."

Once again, the left-wing nutter unable to accept the actual FACTS. The SAGE recommendations for March were published months ago. They DID NOT advocate lockdown because they claimed it would cause a second wave. Absolute FACT. Your deluded left-wing worldview, fed by your 10,000 friends on Facebook, clouding your judgement. If the Labour losers were in power Marxist McDonnell would have nationalised everything in March, so the economy would have been totally destroyed and anybody with a private pension would have lost their savings. Sunak has discovered MMT so the foundations of the road to ruin have already been laid.

Keep hanging on for the vaccine. They should test it on you. I bet you did not rush to volunteer because you would have to leave your cave. If it does not work you will definitely be keeping quiet about it.

When rudebwoy has finished his latest spliff up in the lockdown capital of North Wales he will be along with some lame excuse about how my ability to easily find FACTS on the internet means that I have no friends whereas he is a spaced-out hippy representing a dead-end council estate on a mandate of a few hundred votes.

The September number crunching from the Office for National Statistics (ONS) has been published and they have made a not so startling revelation:

There were 2,535 fewer deaths in September that the five year average.
Dementia and Alzheimer’s were still the biggest factor with over 10 per cent.
Coronavirus deaths (“from” or “with”) represented 1.7 per cent of deaths.
Deaths from influenza and pneumonia fell by 27 per cent in September. The reason that has been assigned for this is that many of those that would have been expected to die had already died earlier in the year due to the pandemic. Also it was noted that those most susceptible to contracting influenza and pneumonia, the elderly, were the most likely to have adhered to social distancing and wearing masks resulting in lower levels of exposure.

Again the last paragraph. Yes, most elderly people still at home do adhere to social distancing and wearing masks, it's our only chance of surviving. Hope you don't mind. I swear by the 'flu shots, just one misfire in nine years is not perfect, but still pretty good? Also, some time ago my Wife and I had a Pneumovax 23 shot to beef-up the immune system against pneumonia, and is effective for 10-years. Not much more we both can do really. It is very bad down here now, and Munich is one of the 'hotspots'. Oh well, if one's gonna get it, then one gets it! :(

Had a great time this weekend due to the extended “Visit Berlin” initiative. This is where certain hotels offer special deals for Berlin residents only and normally only runs on a quiet weekend in January. But with COVID the hotels are pretty much empty all the time so this offer has been on the whole of October.

So last night we were at the “A C by Marriot” in Humboldthain and had a fantastic Georgian meal (from the country of Georgia, not the historical period) at a place called Tiblisi:

This morning we strolled across to the Humboldthain park and visited the MASSIVE anti-aircraft flak gun installation:

Certainly is, if I was in my 80s and was denied treatment after 60 years of contributing to the system I would not be happy.

In the last paragraph, I was merely stating the reasoning that was being given by the ONS. It does seem perfectly fair to suggest that the elderly were not contracting influenza or pneumonia this August/September because of measures that were introduced to protect them from the plague. Surely that is a welcome side effect? Why should anybody object? If they stay healthy and out of the allegedly overwhelmed medical system then surely that is good news too.

Of course those with ‘memory diseases’ could still become victims of the biggest killer but the hundreds every week of the year that die never get a mention on the news just like cancers or non-plague respiratory diseases. Only the plague is newsworthy.

Complete and utter bollocks or just a smokescreen thinking nobody would check or challenge you?

    Copied and pasted from the oNS website;

2.Death registrations and the overall mortality rate for September 2020
In September 2020 there were 39,827 deaths registered in England. This was 2,365 more deaths than in September 2019, and 2,568 more than the five-year average (2015 to 2019) for September. Of the deaths registered in September 2020, 20,236 were males and 19,591 were females.

If you are going to quote FACTS you really should read them carefully. Maybe its you that is on the spliff?
