Following on from my award winning thread on Covid where discussions have recently turned to the saxophone I wondered what the wider GC community thought of it. I quite like a saxophone, particularly in rock & roll & doowop songs but what about you lot? Are you fond of a bit of jazz/easy listening? Does Baker Street tick your box or maybe Hazel O'Connor's Lately (Edit - it is Will You, ya nob) tickles your fancy? Lately (Edit - it's Will You twat) was the song of choice during the Erection Section at the youth club disco when I was a nipper, you'd get to tongue Mandy and give her an over the jumper tit squeeze with the soaring sound of the sax playing as an accompaniment to your teenaged fumblings. please log in to view this image
I’ll step in: <drewmode>It’s ****, only gays n darkies like the sax . ****ing useless twats that play it . It’s just a horrendous loud sound that over compensates for their lack of talent . now where are my biscuits .<drewmode>
And pooves, don't forget the pooves Edit - sorry, you did mention pooves. The Beatles, always mention the Beatles too
The saxaphone is one of my favourite musical instruments. "Will You" by Hazel O'Connor, the saxaphone solo in this is IMHO the classic in a pop song. Love the saxaphone.
I didn't want to correct you as I'm a really amenable guy. I suspected this was the song you meant. Take care.
