You're arguing that people shouldn't get handouts, yet advocating that people should help other people.

As far as I can see, both are entirely the same thing which is great.

I agree on the current Govt though, hopefully we will not be subjected to this for the rest of our lives though I severely doubt it.

 

Tbh it's been fun as an non voter 2 see the circus act performing its clown routine for its voting public.

I don’t really believe in handouts, as I prefer to follow the Big Issue motto; A Hand Up, not a Handout.

But any society that can’t or won’t provide for the basic needs of all it’s children, is a failed society. Any government that votes down a move to provide food to hungry children, has failed it’s people. And any economy that doesn’t reward all it’s workers with at least the basic requirements for food and housing, is a failed economy - no matter how much it may enrich a fortunate few.

Archie bought his council house with the generous scheme Maggie Thatcher brought in , he now complains there aren't enough council houses and hates the late Baroness with vitriolic passion.

I suppose it depends on which version of Socialism you want (no Eddie, not National Socialism).

I like the version where every c.unt is expected to get off their arse and go to school then get a job. Earn enough to pay your rent or mortgage and have a few quid spare for the finer things in life. Taxed at source by the Government and revenue to be spent on NHS, edukashion, infrastructure etc on a sliding scale depending on amount earned. Crappy job with low salary = low tax, high flyer job with big paycheck = higher tax.

The very high flyers can opt out of needing to send their kids to state schools and can afford private health care if they want.

The safety net of welfare should be there for when it all goes tits up and you need the boost.

Sadly we have raised/imported a breed of feckless workshy spivs who are hell bent on trying to fleece the system and created enough loopholes in the system to encourage tax avoidance.

 

You have done very well out of capitalism you spaz, the trouble with putting the Government in charge of redistributing our tax contributions is there are several people on bloated government salaries and pensions handing it out so a large chunk will be wasted on middle men .

Just like charity it works better when you spend all of the donation on food and work out of kindness.

Also if you accept that there are already too many people trying to survive and competing for affordable homes why would you be so generous to people that want to come here and use up even more of our resources that are intended for our own countrymen ?

Open borders and free everything is the mantra of the leftists, very generous with other people's money .

I never bought a flat off the council. And while my current flat is worth a lot more than 200 grand, that’s pretty irrelevant if my kids can’t afford to live in the city they grew up in; a city that is choc full of empty “luxury apartments” sold on the open market to investors in Russia, Hong Kong and Dubai.
