Sin as thought we have all had the weekend to soak up the alcohol and reflect on the City game, thought I would do some ratings of the players:

Basso - Ever present, brilliant player. Not too much to do, couldn't do a lot about there goal. 7

Rosenoir - One of the best players in the team, runs up and down all day long, tackles, a threat to the any defence and is helping Brady a lot. 8

Chester - Unbeatable. Simply just outstanding 9.

Hobbs - Stuttery start, but proving a good partnership with Chester 8.

Dudgeon - was one of critics at first, but getting a lot better with confidence! 7

Brady - we try to get him on the ball as much as we can, great on the ball and off it. But in the final thrid I feel he can be better. Set up Barmbys goal and always improving. 8.

Evans - box to box, gets stuck in, and like to get forward. 7.

Koren - lead the team, fantastic vision on and off the ball, can hit it with left foot and right foot, and was unlucky to score a couple. Best game in a City shirt in the heart of the midfield, his favoured position! 10.

Pusic - Didnt do a lot, but didnt do anything wrong. Great pass to Fryatt for the opener. 7.

Waghorn - Absolutely brilliant, constantly hustling and bustiling defenders. Big stocky player with an eye for goal. Really like him, worked very hard for the team too. 9.

Fryatt - Hopefully that goal brings his confidence back, by far our deadliest striker, so glad to see him score. Put in a great shift, and was delighted with the goal. 8.

    SUBS:

Barmby: Theres only one Barmby, ran his socks off, scored a goal, and has still got it! Well deserved, and im sure he works harder than most players in training, well done to him. 8.

McLean: Also worked his socks off when he came on, did well to close down in the closing minutes. Great player to bring on! 7.

Gulcasi: Was absolutely cacking me kegs when he came on. Thankfully he didnt touch it! 6.

My man of the match: Waghorn. but saying that Koren was immence!

    Thoughts?

overall a fair assessment of the game and would not argue with your marks either.

i would add that PUSIC did well considering it was his first game since the carling cup game and will get better. gulacsi did actually touch the ball. he placed it down for the goal kick, made the kick and the ref. blew up for time. that was good enough for a 10 surely ? lol.

NP has this team gelling game by game. cannot wait to see how we do against the supposed best team in the league west ham utd in 4 weeks time. that game should be a corker.

I'd go with that Strovolos except I'd give Evans a 6. Oh and Barmby a 9

when brady and stewart are back in tandem on each wing, who will play central midfield then ?

koren and cairney, evans and mckenna, harper and olifinjana ? who would you choose inside the wing men ?

Pusic was interviewed on Blunderside this morning, he said he was quite surprised at the quality of the football played in the Championship and he's working hard to get to full fitness, so he can try and secure a regular starting place. He sounded like a decent bloke, he's not going to have any communication problems either, his English was better than mine!

will be interesting to see, I think a lot depends on what kind of opposition we are playing against.

I might have been a little bit harsh on some of those but I've tried to keep it consistent, Brady was my MotM, I thought he was bloody brilliant.

One of the best things about the performance was our quick passing in midfield, we played some beautiful football at times, including both of the goals, it wasn't any players in particular, they all looked really comfortable on the ball.
