The Saudis want to make money.. This removes any investment opportunities fur all other clubs. The riches are unattainable, so there's no point in competing. This means the European money is secured in the hands of the clubs in the new European set up for 20 years If this happens there will be no takeovers of any real magnitude and the clubs already chasing the champions league money will never get the money, so they'll be forced into just not even trying.... The idea is removing their concerns about not finishing top 4 and removing their fears about takeovers.

All driven by greed mate. I think it’s important to separate the current owners from the clubs here though, as all but a few telly clappers don’t want this. The vast majority of RS & United fans are as opposed to these greed driven ideas as the rest of us.
