Just wanted to say a couple of things. First, I'm struggling with my mental health atm with the new restrictions placed on Liverpool. Just got a good thing going with being able to see my son, his wife and little one every other week and now banned again. There are two of us here but the loneliness is crushing. Second, I'm pig sick of reading the snide, horrible comments directed at LFC and us Liverpool fans. Banter I can cope with, it's why we're all on here but believe it or not I'm neither scum nor gobshite. I learned a long time ago to only listen to the opinions of those who care about you and have your best interests at heart. It's a valuable lesson in life that also translates into football. I'm done reading the opinions of those who only have hatred for Liverpool at the forefront of those opinions. I love my football club with a passion and am immensely proud of it. I enjoy talking about the game and getting into discussions even when they are heated, in fact the discussions are better when more varied opinions are put forward. Someone holding the polar opposite view is a welcome challenge. Something else is happening here. The site is becoming more nasty by the day and I don't want to be a part of something like that. There's no escape when you're on here either because it follows you from thread to thread. Any discussion brings out the Liverpool bashing. It's gratuitous. I'm done reading it. I may be back next week, who knows.
Sorry to hear about your present circumstances. I agree there are some absolute pratts on Not 606 who churn out the same rubbish to attack Liverpool as a city and as a football club. I try not to reply to the real idiots and just ignore them, as you say a decent discussion when people air different views with a sensible argument is great. Just throwing insults about should have been left behind in the playground, as should gloating over an opposition player's serious injury.
Try to not let it get to you mate, it's a tough time. The pub thread is always a good safe haven to escape arguments.
It's very difficult feeling isolated, JB, but just remember they still all love you. You're welcome to PM me mate
Chin up man, try and get into positive mental and physical habits in your life, if not coming on here is one of those then that's a good thing ... I thought you could block individual users if you wanted, granted you still see the other posters replying to their posts but at least you don't have to read that sh*t
For the 4th night in the last 5 we had fireworks going off in my neighbourhood . The little fooker is getting really twitchy & a friends Border Collie now refuses to go for a walk altogether .
Even before we had a dog I hated fireworks. Our dog has never been bothered by fireworks or thunder, but a friends German Shepherd is terrified of both.
Had a few around here the last few days but the dogs not been too bothered so far. He truly hates them normally, we usually drug him to calm him. Guess there's time yet...
our present one is scared when inside by both thunder & fireworks but luckily just lies there shaking without really distressed . I just get pissed off that at almost any excuse fireworks are going off .
They should not be sold to the public, they should only be for organised displays. Around by me they have them at virtually every birthday party, kids 7th birthday and they are setting off commercial fireworks in a small back garden!
oh ffs dog just asked to go outside and just as she got out a ****ing air shell went off so now just have to hope she can hold out till the morning as she was back inside quicker than Usain Bolt .
