How can a guy who crumpled to the floor like a sack of **** when barely touched a month ago now run around the pitch for 90 minutes with a life changing injury? Has he being doing special sessions with Joe Wicks, or are there more sinister explanations afoot? [/QUOTE] VVD was just at the weekend, not a month ago. I know the press coverage makes it feel like it will never go away.
No one said it was life changing you helmet merely that it happened. Good to see the cult of Kopite in full hypocritical swing though
I do think most teams will have this issue at some point. We have been the same at CB with only really Evans, Soyuncu and then the newly signed Fofana as trusted options. Otherwise we wheel big Wes back out! Soyuncu is out until new year and Evans has been injured on and off for the season so far so isn’t fit. Fofana (little Wes) looks good. We had Ndidi as CB in the first couple of games but he’s unlikely to be back until after Christmas either. I’m just hoping for a reverse of last season where we get them all back in the new year and gel and go on a run. Man City have been bemoaning their injuries too and used it as an excuse when we turned them over but again, our problems were glossed over. At least they had the resource to go and chuck another £60mill on a CB after that game!
Okay, he merely played with a torn cruciate fo 90 mins +. I'm sure you didn't want to compare a bump or bruise with Virgil's injury.
Sorry that Rodriguez noticed he was injured after completing 90 minutes of football and will now sit out the next game because he doesn't think playing Southampton is as glamorous as playing Liverpool
Cheers. She reckons it's the worst flu she's ever had so far. But her work (the NHS) have sent her the caseloads' paperwork to work from home.
Well up until now I didn't think it was a guy who jumps on the floor screaming and waving imaginary yellow cards about if somebody waves a fan a 100 yards away, but a guy who plays on for 90 mins plus with a mangled knee.... wow! As he's Latin American I'll call him Pote Rodriguez from now.
Thought James got mortally wounded five minutes before Virgil but played on without a word of complaint?
First time a VAR mistake changed the result of a game was also the 2-2 at Goodison which should have legally been 2-3
Pickford didn't intend to injure VVD and VVD didn't intend to injure James. Both were bad tackles and VVD is just out of luck that he's the one that has come out with the bad injury.
First XI is Van Djonkey, Thiago and Alisson. Don’t gimme the rest of that trash, wouldn’t get in Fulham’s side ffs.
Was targeted for foul play inside 90 seconds. Luckily him and DCL are made of tough stuff. Still, life goes on for some.
