And one of them won 2-0 making the other side look a lot less than average. I would at least expect a less than average side to muster one....just one shot on target.
Exactly not one bloody shot on target at home against an average negative team like Preston. I think some need to understand facts before they knocking others comments

I don’t ( I said earlier in this thread that an improvement on last season and a top 10 would be good.) That ain't going to happen.
Do you think we should be losing 2-0 at home to Preston? Is that what you thought before the game started?
In this division I except my team to do better at home and improve on last season if you think we played well you should watch netball. That was going backwards.
No I expected to win this game and put a lot of money on this. We score 1st goal we win the game. The great thing about u Ellers is that u r continually sad and uneducated, u r free to post on this site, but god knows why such a bigoted person is still allowed to post??

Look YRs you are the one who was obviously watching a different game to the rest of us. Please don't single out me because others have said the same. :emoticon-0148-yes:

We were no worse Bob just no better! Dieng made no saves and neither did their goalie.

That was B.A.D. worst of the season, and after Saturday which gave us so much hope

The only slightly sensible thing I can say. We were playing Preston, a premier league S@@@housery team skilled in the nasty and "clever" game...and they did us one. Wallace fell for it twice, but for me he played slightly better than Cameron who was slow, uninventive and must have a pass completion rate of about 5% tonight.
Chair started well but after the penalty he disappeared.

On Saturday we have to try something different.

Wallace replaced by Haamalainen
Bonne replaced by Dykes (but that is not a real criticism of Bonne)

Bring in Willock for Cameron and Adomeh for Chair...and play
4 (Kakay-Dickie-Barbet-Hammalianen) -1 (Ball)-4 (Adomeh-Willock-Carroll- BOS)-1 (Dykes)

Fair enough Ellers just your view is more damning than others, I watched the whole game and came to the conclusion 1st goal wins the game, we had the half chances to do that, then everyone would be happy! It was a game of 2 average teams who will both be mid table,of which we would have accepted at the start of the season

No worries Yrs . I'm just get frustrated when we lose like that. Saturday will be a different game.

Does Kakay have a twin?

You've hit the nail on the head Ellers. Saturday most likely will be different. Surely it cant be any worse and that's where all the frustrations come from, the complete inconsistency!

I just can't understand how we can play well on Saturday against a good team, start well tonight and should have gone one up, then concede and play like a Sunday team? We need some consistency

Disappointing night's viewing.

To deal with the positives first, I thought Dickie was MOTM. Didn't do much wrong imo and made some good interceptions.

Albert really wants to do well and hopefully his enthusiasm will be encouraging. Couple of good crosses but those unstoppable runs he put in against us when playing for other teams yet to materialise.

Another frustrating game where we are on them with pace and energy for the first 20 mins and then a penalty from which we did not recover. I wondered if they'd improve after a half time roasting but alas not.

Lots of Amos detractors on here. Was he missed today?

Far too early to be too miserable since a 'run' of even two wins would see us leap quite a few places. Suspect another season of nothingness to follow.

Wish he did...but now corrected.
As said..we need to try out Haamalaianen.
The commentator said... That again on Saturday, Birmingham will not come to attack, they will all stay behind the ball
We need a bit of a edge to get pass them ....and we do not need to "stick a leg out" when they counter
Lets try the "youfff" ...and Uncle Albert on Saturday

You know something, bizarrely Amos was missed tonight. He at least presses the ball from midfield. Ball does too but from too deep a position.

Young Nico must be absolutely garbage not to get a game ahead of Wallace.

They were the better team from the outset. They were all over us for the first 5 mins.

We had a 15 minute period thereafter where we pressured them a little but were unable to make barely any entry into their penalty area.

They were prepared to at least run at us and try to attack. They were poor at this but were able to fall over easily and draw two penalties.

As bad as they were, we were far worse.

if they are mid table level, we are relegation level if we carry on with performances like that.

I couldn’t be bothered to listen to Warbles interview afterwards, but I bet he said “physicality’ at some point.

Two words: Pearson and Nigel.

Anybody? Anybody?

I thought Dickie was at fault for their second penalty.

Maybe Tramore and Yrs are right and I am not giving Preston enough credit? If that was us winning 2-0 up there I would not be complaining.
I guess what is so upsetting for me is the way we played and not having a shot on goal. It's the inconsistency that annoys me and the same old mistakes. Anyway we move on
