No surprise there then to notice Koren was picked for the Championship team of the week by the football league on 26th September 2011 http://www.football-league.co.uk/ch...championship-team-of-the-week_2293322_2460947
Not suprised also, thought he played the best he ever has done for City at the weekend, and Im sure McKenna will have a tough time getting back in to the team!
Agreed, he deserved his Man Of The Man Award. Places for Midfield are hotting up nicely now if you consider the likes of Evans, Olifinjana, McKenna, Cairney and next month Stewart, Barmby oh yeah and... Harper, how could I forget about Harper. Can only be a positive to have competition for places.
yeah definately, Evans played well as well in midfield, I like him a lot. -Gets stuck in -Box to box -Passes -Crosses -Makes forwards runs -And has a shot on goal He can only get better IMO. As for competition in places, I think your right, will be difficult for any City player who's a midfielder. I think Oly will be used dependant on the oppposition, e.g. Brighton away, compacting the midfield with solid players.
Shocker !?! An international central midfield player puts in his best performance of the season - playing central midfield. About time he was played in his natural position. Should've been played there since match 1.
That team of the week is ridiculous. How do Derby come to have 3 players in the side when they just lost 4 zip? John Brayford better than Liam Rosenior????? Yeah, sure he is!! Ben Dabies better than Robbie Brady????? Of course, how could anyone think any other!! I see James Chester never made the team.................................GOOD!!
thats last weeks team after the bristol city game weekend. so will wait and see for the updated one for this weekend just gone.
Brady and Koren have to be in this weekend's one. Or they would if they played for a more fashionable side.
Clearly it is best to keept a low profile and keep sneaking up the table unnoticed like 2008, but it always annoy me when our players don't get the recognitioon they deserve, and players at teams like Leeds, Forest and Reading get all the plaudits. You have to think if Brady or Chester played for one of those sides they'd be the word on everyone's lips.
I always think this is the case with the TV too, Sky Sports dont seem to feature City much at all, yet TWS always seem to get mentioned and loads of media and tv coverage. We're only live on Sky once this season which was our first game of the season against Blackpool. Same with the BBC on football league show, the pundits talk the arse off other teams and we get a 30 second mention !!! Grrr, annoys me.
Best team when everyone's fit Basso Rosenoir Hobbs Chester Dawson Olofinjana Brady Cairney Koren Stewart Waggy
