When Stewart returns, we'll have two wingers and he'll be forced to stick Koren in the middle(I don't think he'll drop him).
hope not, evans /koren has been my preferred midfield partnership since the start of the season, for home games at least anyway.
We play two wingers instead of one winger and Koren, who imo is an attacking midfielder, and create a hat full of chances. Disappointed with the corners, instead of not clearing first man they cleared everyone. 5 unbeaten and 5 off top spot, hopefully after international break we'll be able to pick up were we left off with a performance against a team who have no wins in 5 in all competitions and conceded 9 in the last three. One final point nice to get the monkey off our back of not being able to score twice.
Hope Koren is in the middle, instead of out wide. When he is out wide, he moves inside ('out of position') and that's when he becomes a danger for them...
Have to echoe this !!! Thoroughly enjoyed the game today, the style in which we played, the crowd/Noise at times was raised by several decibells and managed to get that 2nd goal !!!
Disappointed that i now have to wait till the West Ham game at the earliest to see City play, that's uni for you!
Thanks for nothing Cardiff,do you only raise your game playing Leeds? Hrmphh, now we have the Hull prats crowing for weeks
They raised their game against the best side in the Championship (at the moment) but couldn't against one of the less talented but hard working sides, football, a funny old game.
Less talented, who, us? Hull City??? You having a Giraffe !!! You lot will have a heavy fall from grace in the coming weeks !!!
I havent seen it mentioned anywhere, but then again I havent looked through every thread. What sort of reception did Gerrard get?
to be fair, we were down to the bare bones against southampton mid week. then we go and lose our only remaining senior striker (miller) after only a few minutes and from then on it became obvious that the international break couldnt come quickly enough. and yes southampton are at the top end of the table but at this stage of the season, with respect it means nothing as teams can jump (and fall) 4 or 5 places on the back of one result. we've been at the top of the table several times in the past but it only actually counts for anything if you can sustain being there until say, 10 games to go, not after 10 matches, we would know better than most
AT THE MOMENT. 3 good words. enjoy being top whilst it lasts saintdon13. looking at the next group of fixtures after the international break i see that southampton have derby away(15th) - west ham home(18th) - reading away(22nd) and middlesboro home(29th) so lets see who is top after that little lot. way to early for crowing but give the saints credit for being the leagues top goal scorers by far at the moment.
