I very rarely post on GC these days. It's pretty much died since you and the other racist rejects got exiled here.

 

Republicans wants to:

• Support military spending and strength
• Cut taxes for the wealthy
• Cut taxes for corporations
• Reduce regulation on business
• Cut social services
• Privatise the Medicare
• Privatise just about anything public sector whenever they can.
• Weaken unions
• Tighten immigration controls

Democrats want to:

• Reduce military spending and action
• Increase taxes on the wealthy
• Increase taxes on corporations
• Increase regulation on business, especially in financial services
• Increase social services
• Increase public healthcare
• Increase the government's footprint and influence on the economy and society in general
• Strengthen unions
• Loosen immigration controls

That’s as simple as I got as an explanation as to the difference in the US parties

maybe too simplistic but a decent enough representation of what they offer .

It's slightly more complex than that...

In simple terms, Republicans want less Government involvement in life, low taxes which are mainly invested in the military (or other sectors that make them money).

Democrats don't want less Government involvement as it's obvious that if you leave people to it they will **** things up for everyone, as people are generally ****s.

Both are aligned in most areas, Republicans own the loopy church/guns lot and Democrats the hippy/lefty lot.

 

Just more of your usual tedious diversion. If you don't like it here, maybe you'd be better off in the safe space of the Prem board. Mind you, with the new ban happy regime there, you'd best be careful when you try to hide behind lazy allegations that you can't support, like the one you just made.

Cool , I did say it was pretty simplistic but probably a decent overview

But missing out guns , religion , abortion etc is probably a massive hole in the overview as they drive a lot of decision making etc
