Promoted teams are always enthusiastic and up for the battle, after 3 games it could have been better, could also have been worse, so I was quite happy with 5 points from the first 3 games. But I'm beginning to get worried again after 7! Sure the last 4 games have been against mega-rich/decent/very good/good teams, but we are once again starting to make schoolboy errors and when we go 1 behind the chances are we won't get any kind of result. The 3 promoted teams were expected to struggle but they seem to be getting some decent results, Bolton are bottom but after a run of games even harder than ours. I'm struggling to think of which teams are going to finish below us.

Oh to have Alcaraz fit again. To have Rodallega fit and looking like he's the player he thinks he is. To have someone tell Ben Watson that midfielders need to break into something more than a trot now and again and actually tackle instead of just following the player towards our goal. To have James McArthy fit and firing again.Teams like Wigan can't afford to carry passengers and right now too many players are not producing the goods. Over to you Bobby.........................

Wigan is a strange one. I think there are worse teams to go down, you have a good group of players. The problem I think is the playing mentality against smaller clubs. You seem to underestimate smaller teams instead of focussing on just beating them, correct me if I am wrong but that is just the way I see it.

The N'Zogbia money has to be reinvested, and I am confident Martinez will be able to persuade some decent players. There are some bargains out there, just like at Tiote and Cabaye at Newcastle, 4 million each and last season Tiote kept the biggest stars in the league in his back pocket.

All the best Wigan, see you in 2 and a half weeks <ok>

Ye but Wigan alot of fans are calling for Martinez`s head and to leave the club now this could come in the form of a protest at the bolton game.

"The writing on the wall" (or "the handwriting on the wall" or "the writing's on the wall" or "Mene Mene"), an idiom, is a portent of doom or misfortune. It originates in the Biblical book of Daniel—where supernatural writing foretells the demise of the Babylonian Empire. The phrase is widely used in language and literature. - Winki

"the writing is on the wall" as a euphemism for impending doom that is so obvious only a fool would not see it coming, It also provides the origin for the similar expression "your days are numbered." - DPJ.........................

wigan will probably join us (swans) as one of the teams to go down anyway but at least wigan have had a good run even with a ****e chairman. mind you martinez is use to ****e chairmen he had one when he was with us...<laugh> thank god we have a half decent bloke in charge of finances now because if it was left to the figurehead chairman we would not be here in the premiership..<ok>..good luck wigan lets hope we both stay up.....

Yes I heard that, fromthestands, something about the fact that he doesn't want to burden his family with the club, after he's gone, anyway your in need of a recruitment drive for more Wigan posters, or has Bobby finished them all off!..............
