Tale of two halves we were **** 2nd half, very good first, unlucky with an own goal, Wolves defended well, we move on
First Disappointment of the season for me, well below par tonight, passing was poor, clueless on corners.
Wolves are no mugs and we made them look pretty ordinary for a lot of the game. We'll play worse and win this season. Onwards and upwards.
The game was just how I feared it would go! We just weren't clinical enough. Lots of chances not only at goal but in behind out wide but with no end product. It was very much like the performances we had become accustomed to in the Championship. Lots of posession, lots of crosses, lots of chances but a deflected shot does for us. Frustrating but very enjoyable to watch. We need to get back to picking points up before the Christmas party.
Disappointing second half... we seemed to lose our sharpness from the off, conceding possession. Unlucky with the goal, but huffed and puffed without ever looking likely to score.
Sadly Bamford reverted back to last seasons form, he put himself about, he defended from the front but **** end product in front of goal. Best Leeds player Koch, he was immense tonight, he popped up everywhere and his passing from the back was superb. Phillips looked tired, Costa got knocked off the ball too often, Dallas was skinned a few times, pretty well played everyone else. We should have had three points, I’d not have overly complained about a point but no points and I feel robbed.
The lads gave their all tonight so it's difficult to be too disappointed. Fair play to Wolves, they had a game plan and it worked to perfection. We'll learn loads from that and to put things in perpsective Wolves have finished top 8 the last 2 seasons and we're newly promoted yet for most of the match were the dominant side. Remember we lost to a shot which was going straight to our keeper and on another day we nick it 1-0 instead of them.
Thought Koch was really good first half, second half less so, couple of poor defensive headers, one of which led to the disallowed goal. ayling and Phillips both very good first half and poor second... two players we really rely on to help set tempo
