That would be much better than an ACL

As a standard, ie a person under NHS treatment, it takes 6-8 months for ACL surgery.

However given that its going to be private treatment and using specialist (expensive) rehab, I would suspect that time period would be shorter. 4-6 months?

There's a big difference between recovering from surgery and being able to play in a competitive sporting arena. Even with private treatment the main delay is the body healing after the surgery has been performed, that's mostly decided by nature. So many if's and but's, from the NHS website regarding recovery following surgery of ACL:

Anyway, just came over to say it's a shoddy decision in the match but more importantly a big shame for such a cracking player to be out for so long. Hope the news is better than it initially seems.

Professional athlete should 'recover' in 6 months, but that is to general fitness. He won't be match fit for elite football for 9 months - 1 year. I said yesterday, when some where saying Klopp was a drama queen for fearing the worst, that I'd have preferred that Prickford had broken his leg:recovery time is less, and there's little worry that he'd retain his amazing pace. Have they said whether he's torn or snapped the ligament yet?

Don't be daft. It's the VAR operator I want to see fire-bombed. Prickford is just a reckless **** who made an horrific tackle that should have been dealt with at the time.

Terrible news for such a great player. Injuries are part of sport but this is a very bad one and we will not see him play again this season. The manner of the injury was just disgusting really

I mentioned this in another thread and my ‘rant’ isn’t Everton specific but these dangerous challenges need severe punishments, much more than a standard 3 game ban. These are potential leg breakers and can end careers, and should have no place in today’s game.

Michael Oliver should also face punishment. For a referee to 'miss' Pickfords scissor tackle in play is an utter disgrace.

What the **** was he doing, he's supposed to be watching the play.

Thanks for proving that you can’t put your bias to one side ...

    Oh the irony........

You see, here’s you claiming that challenges exactly like the one pictured above deserve additional sanction, yet I’m the one showing bias?

You’re having an absolute mare today.

You clearly have zero clue because you posted a picture which was nothing like the horror challenges from the ones in the derby.

The fact that you did just shows your bias, and how you pretend to take the moral high ground. It was evident when you called out non local fans. You can say I had a mare all you want but you showed yourself up pal.

    have a good evening

So that potential leg breaker was perfectly fine then, I see.

Good to see you’re completely balanced and 100% consistent in your position here, and not in any way one eyed.

As long it's not malicious, mistakes can happen. Modern day games are too quick and players may not be able to adjust themselves to prevent injuries. If a player did something on purpose thst player deserves punishment.
