I’ve got over the disappointing end now and I’m sure CoD will reflect on his error without the vitriol that seems to be going on OTIB.
It’s in everyone’s interest that he steps up and until that error he was doing ok.
Still top of the league and everything to play for. COYR

    Surprised about a referees decision?
I'll bet its not the first and won't be the last <laugh>

I just watched it, and that is a very harsh penalty in my book. They both jump for the ball, very harsh to give a penalty for that, plus it’s not even certain it was in the box?

Sorry but the collision was in the box I’m sure.
Whether deliberate or not is debatable but I saw it on RobinsTV over here in sunny Spain and said to the wife immediately it was a pen - ok it’s my opinion it was a pen but the ‘event’ was in the box.
I’d be screaming for it if it was against us....

Yes it was in the box but to me it was similar to one given against us at Sheff Wednesday last season, which was deemed controversial and strangely I thought that one was a penalty.

    R&W, stop it I'm in Weymouth <laugh>

Apropos refereeing decisions, have you seen the Merseyside Derby.
I've never like the pundit Shearer but his view of VAR is some I agree with. Namely how can VAR disallow the Henderson goal dealing in millimetres and not even ask the referee to take a look at Pickford's challenge. I know the rules about being offside but surely they could do something, even retrospectively.

Absolutely and the Kyle Walker challenge on Gabriel, should have been properly looked at.

Oh how disappointing to lose 2 points in such a way and to a player deemed not good enough for our team! Tuesday's game takes on a new mantle now, another who will be wanting to put one over on us, the panto villain. After leaving Cardiff to take a breather from. defeat at our hands he will be well up for it. A draw will be a very good result.

The Merseyside derby was yet another in a long line of VAR failures. The irony is that VAR was supposed to remove the controversy from games.... Big fail!!

It was definetly a penalty, those 2 were having a go at each other a couple of times. To say he wasn't looking at him might be a bit tenuous, so close to the final whistle players nerves are on edge, and it all happens in the flash of the moment. The ref was well sighted and having booked 2 dangerous tackles in the last 10 mins was able to make a decision on the severity of the challenge..... a foul... and a penalty .... and an unbeaten run ends.

I LOVE Weymouth. Haven’t been there for years but my wife’s architect uncle designed Brewers Quay.
I particularly liked sitting on the benches of the pubs alongside the quayside there. Wonderful part off the country.
We always stopped off at Castle Carey for a toilet break on the way - I took the opportunity to pop to the high street for a beer whilst the others went to the loo.
    Happy days.

Not quite - we’re still unbeaten and top of the league.
Also, despite awarding the penalty, I don’t think O’Dowda was even booked, so the ref, by doing that, acknowledged it wasn’t deliberate, but it was still a foul - and a foul in the box is a penalty - intended or not (well, if deemed intentional it would have been a sending off)

Think they're going to develop the Brewers Quay building, lovely area I hope they do it justice.
You mention Castle Cary, I take the train from Cary down to Weymouth. Not sure who enjoys it most, me or the grandkids <cheers>

I used to go to Weymouth from Castle Cary about 8 times during the period easter to October during the 50's got the "Sparkfords bus" from SQUIBS GARAGE or West Park to save the 1 mile walk. it was 2 tracks back then. return journey was armed with whelks and nan's hat pin … gosh looked at a photo a week or so ago of family 4 boys and "nan and pop" on the beach.. photo was about 3 1/2 " x 2 1/2" typical size in them days ….

Was lucky enough to see the game as my Son streamed it
We were lucky not to be 1-0 down seconds before their first goal and our defending from the corner was absolutely criminal
But I thought we eventually settled down well and we were well worthy of taking all 3 points until Callum O' Stupids ridiculous foul. WTF was he thinking of as he was never going to get the ball in a million years.
I'd have bitten off your hand to get 13 points from the first 5 games so it's quite something to be bemoaning 2 points dropped away from home, but it's the sort of thing that can adversely affect the squads moral so I hope it doesn't continue tomorrow against Dame Nellie
