This match being the other one of those five. Sheff Utd could very easily be looking at 11 consecutive PL defeats in a few weeks time, if they don't equalise. (The record, I think, is Sunderland with 15.)
Wish people would stop moaning about VAR, as if its an automated computer making all the decisions. Theres still a referee making subjective decisions on the other side. The technology itself is fine, it's the HUMAN decisions that are still failing teams.
Think it is more that fact it is getting involved where it is not needed. The fact that even with perfect angles and replays and lines drawn on screen, we still cant agree if Mane was on side, means it isn't an obvious error. Such a simple fix as well - 10 seconds worth of replays and if it isnt obvious then the on field decision sticks.
Isn't that the point of why it's not going to improve things though? Technology doesn't suddenly make **** refs good ones. So what we have now is essentially same as what we always had, we just have loads of delays and breaking up the game too.
More of one than United's last night imo but yeah definitely soft. Essentially a non contact sport in the box now.
If it wasn't a pen why dont VAR pipe up? That's the problem, not a player using a situation to his advantage.
Home to their biggest rivals and they're essentially parking the bus. It's awful. Hope Brighton come back and dick them.
