He hasn’t. He has parted company from MSD which was the Michael Dell company they ran. FPP is a stand alone company for the 3.

I wouldn’t be excited by someone rich coming in just as a minority shareholder . I want to see a new face as majority shareholder with money, and meaning business.

I did hear ages ago that the Fuhrman on his own thing was part of the misinformation and that there was no reason to think any deal wouldn't be all of FPP if it happened (posted this at the time). That might be bollocks mind or might have changed!

From what some are saying it sounds a bit unlikely to be them mind, certainly in terms of taking shares. Last time they wanted Donald gone and wanted a full takeover. If what's being suggested now involves Donald staying, I don't think FPP would have wanted that. Maybe as the only way to get him to do a deal they've reluctantly accepted it, but they don't strike me as the type to compromise. The worry for me is that this sounds a bit like a hastily agreed alternative which was better for Donald. Just hope if it isn't FPP that it's decent people with backing and plans.

Donald needs to be targeted if he decides to stay mind. He clearly hasn’t got the message. For us to have a truly fresh start he needs to be gone. He truly is a greedy little opportunist. The more this goes on with him hanging on for his payday the more I feel him and Methven are disrespecting our club and us fans.

In theory I'm not too bothered if he stays on with a small percentage. It would irritate me a bit but I really just want this over, new people in and Donald nowhere near any decision making. If he needs to keep a small shareholding to make it happen then I'd reluctantly be alright about it. The worry is I doubt any good new owners would want him there in any capacity, they'd likely want to own the whole thing.

Complete speculation but it wouldn't surprise me if Donald is still trying to get paid if we go up and paid if we get back to the prem. Maybe he's saying he either wants that or to keep some shares so that one way or the other he benefits a bit if we get it right. Let's just hope it's resolved soon, as smug says it's like some sort of a soap opera all this!

Is Nicola Cortese (sp?) more or less pie in the sky than Marwood?

Remember back in the day when Barnes said it was Piatek rather than Fuhrman? Maybe it is all of FPP. Would actually make a lot more sense than Fuhrman on his own. The stuff Smug heard about Fuhrman being on the move etc could have just been that Fuhrman was the driving force:

Or the plottings and machinations of the early Game of Thrones.

It's been unreal, and that's from someone not getting all the info from different sources!

If SD is staying then there’s nowt we can do about it. I just hope that his share of the pie has been reduced to the point that he isn’t involved in any major decisions that have to be made.

From what I heard, one person leaked stories about a deal being very likely in order to put pressure on Donald. The deal was nowhere near as far along as suggested but the person was desperate for Donald to sell, so putting the story out there meant that Donald would worry about the reaction if it didn't happen which might force his hand and make him more likely to do a deal. Reading between the lines I assumed this meant it wasn't just spread to people who would mention it on message boards but that person was also the likely source for Barnes, which got it out amongst the whole fan base. Whether it's true or not I wouldn't know, but that was apparently the reasoning behind it, at least initially.

You think this person was not keen on how Donald was running things?
