Yes WTO rules, we import much more than we sell to the EU and WTO rules will see them paying billions more to us than we will pay to then, when they get fed up paying us, they will start to negotiate seriously.
Will lead to people buying British goods in the long run, rather than over priced EU goods. Win win. Should you be on here ? you're in lockdown aren't you
Can't wait The legal reckoning awaiting Trump if he loses the election https://www.cnn.com/2020/10/17/politics/trump-election-legal-reckoning/index.html
You'd think so, wouldn't you, but, no. In Australia we make really good cheeses, real stinky some of them. I buy French cheese, why? Because it's cheaper than the OZ product. Like wise with wine, beer and German sausages. "Don't buy the imported goods" they tell us, "Buy Australian and support our farmers".. I'm sick of supporting our farmers, they do bugger all for me except keep their prices high.
And don't forget, he ws going to jail Hilary Clinton. Still waiting for that one. All piss and wind, 2020. Not saying he may not deserve it but "can't wait"? How long have you got?
Come on those farmers do it tough, times are bad, what with this and that. Prices have to be kept high so they can keep the lifestyle to which they have become accustomed. Seriously though I blame the supermarkets.
That's not very often the case here, car manufacturers already charge much more for things like cars over here, and boosts there profits no end, big tariffs on cars will cost many many thousands of German jobs, and a massive hit on profits.
If he loses the knives will be out and so I would expect him to get put away, if there is any reason to do so. Hilary, as far as I know, hasn't done anything wrong apart from lose the unlosable election.
Supermarkets, the 'middle' man, are the cause of a lot of farmers' angst, but they do keep retail prices in check somewhat. The $1 a litre milk was one of them though it didn't do the farmers' gate prices much good. As for tough times, was it ever any different for cockies? When i was a kid in Somerset we used to hear the local farmers moaning about the wheat prices and how it was too low, all the while leaning on the bumper of their Jags and Land Rovers. Yea. poor sods. I don't think so.
I was brought up on a farm and I can tell you it's a hard life. We had to get used to only changing the merc every two years in the bad times. Every cloud has a silver lining though, the backpackers were fun.
I’m planning on living to a hundred, so a few years. I’m optimistic, I think they may have so much on him it will be hard not to.
You seem to have a short memory. Prior to the single market (God bless Maggie for that) people used to import cars they had bought in Germany because the UK car market was so uncompetitive and they could save thousands. Some bought left hand drive cars but I believe you could get right hand much cheaper too.
Spot on. Never go to a car manufacturer for a car. They’re competitive on other things... I always get my groceries from the local Mercedes dealership
